"Commodes" thinking about returning to REDSKINS !

The only reason I'll be okay with the name change back is because the mods will finally, FINALLY acknowledge the travesty that is editing the word "comm - ander". There is no reason it should've been turned to "commode". None. It is a common fucking word, and there is no reason that my complaints on that should've been ignored for about two fucking years.

Again, I have no issues with "49ers" being rebranded as "69ers" or "Seahawks" to "Seahags" or "Patriots" to "Cheatriots", or Sean Asshole Face to Asshole Face. That all is perfectly fine. But the editing of a common word that I often use is irksome.

You know who you are.

@RamFan503 @Selassie I @CGI_Ram

EDIT: I apologize for being short-tempered. I just feel like that complaint was ignored; nobody talked to us about it.

Come on Mems. How often do you want to type com-manders on this forum? It's not even close to being a common word that anyone would use on a sports board unless they are talking about one team in DC. I think you need to let it go.

Amazing stat you all heard in the game.

For as much as some peeps want to biatch about McVay's play calling

NFL record for consecutive games without a shutout in the first half. None since 2016 I believe.

Now of course that ended last Sunday... but hey came back with 21 in the first half.
"Well on Madden I still haven't been shut out in the first half and I'm in the 2032 season.... McVay has no idea about anything bruh"

CELEBRATE !! Victory Formation - Rams beat Saints

The I wish he would use said play on THIRD down, lol...
The fourth down play was designed underneath to Tutu I believe. Kupp was clearing deep and Tutu was coming open at the sticks curling back inside.
The pass rush, as the Rams interior pass blocking folded immediately once again, didn't allow Stafford much time....so, he basically just threw it away.

Merlin's Thanksgiving Offseason Mock

...I think they could just as well add major offensive line upgrades to keep him upright and open running lanes and that being as big if not as big of an improvement for 9.
I've been racking my brain trying to figure out how they could make major offensive line upgrades? I started an entire thread on it.

How do you see them doing that?

I'm not arguing with you; I'm just struggling seeing a path for that and want to know what others have in mind.

I see major commitments to both guard positions so can't imagine they'll make major changes there. I can see them adding a high pick at Center but feel it's doubtful with Limmer playing well and Jackson waiting in the wings.

In theory they could draft an LT or RT or both, but with the talent in this class and the slot where they'll be picking, I'm skeptical any OT drafted would be an immediate major upgrade to either AJ or Havenstein.

So I'm not seeing a pathway to major OL upgrades unless they're tearing it all down and rebuilding with a focus on o'linemen that excel in pass pro rather than run blocking.

GAME DAY Thanksgiving Day Football - Game Day Thread

I realize the circumstances … Holiday, time of day, Dallas, tradition.

Still though. A game where the starting quarterbacks were Drew Lock and Cooper Rush will be the most watched Regular Season game of 2024. WOW!

Turkey/Black Friday Game Day Menu

Our Leftover Turkey will be picked clean by Sunday. We have a houseful till Monday. So I went to my butcher and ordered 7 Ribeye's and got some baking Potatoes for the grill. For the game we will have snacks and stuffed Jalapenos and my wife's pumpkin pie tarts.
I'm on ice tonight because I just finished hanging the Christmas lights outside. Harder than it use to be. My sons are out chopping wood so my back should be sore until they are finished... lol
Happy Thanksgiving Rams Fans
Life is good.

5 Thoughts After Eagles (the sky isn't falling, don't worry)

You can see the potential of McClendon.
There are times he looks really good. But he has technical flaws and guys with technique issues, unless they are total freak athletes, get drafted where McClendon got drafted.
To quote my nephew, who does some fighting as a kick boxing; "Training is not fighting." A guy can work on it and work on it in practice and come game time, against different players with different skills of their own, its easy to revert back to the bad technique. Changing techniques takes a lot of time if it in ingrained.
I still like McClendon as a depth piece going forward at RT, not LT but RT. As for now, if he is playing this year on pure passing downs he will need help. If he can keep the rusher in front of him and get his hands on them he usually does well. I remember him stone walling Young vs the Whiners multiple times last year.
Its frustrating but takes time.
you like McClendon? really? If we had a mobile QB thats a different story but with Matthew Stafford back there we need wayy better even as a backup tackle. He has been the weak link every time he’s suited up and it screws up the whole line. We need a tight end to chip his guy otherwise forget about anything longer than a 2 step drop. McVay needs to go “12” or “13” with this guy-so freaking stubborn man

Clock rules

Do you have a source? I can only find out of bounds. There is no clarity to sideways or backwards that I could locate. Generally speaking backwards typically happens when forward progress stops in the field of play and the player is pushed back. Officials will keep that clock moving in that scenario.

I’ve seen a couple times where a player runs backwards to get out of bounds to elude hits or defenders.
No source but from watching games and listening to announcers - that's the rule.

As to going backwards, that is wholly contingent on the player running backwards when they go out of bounds.

I remember Beckham purposely running backwards when he went out of bounds to keep the clock running when they had a lead.

If forward progress is stopped while inbounds - the refs will keep the clock running even if the runner is pushed out of bounds.

Depends on if the runner's forward progress is stopped. Judgement call by the refs.
