The Evolution of Sean McVay’s Offense: From Wide Zone to Gap and Duo

A subtle adjustment McVay has made I've noticed is to have Stafford under Center on early downs instead of Pistol. Offense is throwing more from under Center without play action. I think the change was made to help Stafford with the rythym of the play. He can drop back, 1 2 3 and let it rip or 1 2 3 4 5 steps and get it out. Seems to have really helped the early down passing.

Coachspeak: Around the league

Was thinking, if you're gonna constantly bite kneecaps, you're gonna lose a few teeth along the way! But, if an NFC team other than the Rams would make the Super Bowl, Detroit with Goff and Minnesota with O'Connell are at least acceptable. I can't stand Philly for geographical reasons and to a lesser degree, Tampa. Additionally, Tampa has the congruency of Philly cockiness from the days of Sapp and Lynch. I can't root for Green Bay (Favre, Rodgers) and Washington (Snyder) because those 3 will forever be associated with them in my memory. The only AFC teams in contention who are acceptable to me as Superbowl participants are Buffalo and Houston. So tired of Mahomes and Reid. The Chargers have Harbaugh. Denver has Payton. Baltimore had Ray Lewis and Pittsburgh fans are far too cocky, though I love watching those two kick the snot out of each other. So my rooting interests, after the Rams, are severely limited. :laugh4:
Yeah, I can’t fault that logic.

Just love this team

I read every word you write.
I've even memorized a couple posts.
Nice - appreciate that - lol

Not sure how sarcastic? Even though it way, wish you a Happy Rams season.
I drink the kool-aide.Still upset at the play calling in the red-zone & coaching decision. The only game The Rams lost bad was Arizona.
—T. White was horrible for the defense.Look at A-Whiterspoon the last 2 years and what he has meant to The Rams !! He deserved better from The NFL if anything. Pleasant has done good though. Not sure why he wouldn’t fight for him though??

All said - this team & coaching staff bring it day in and day out.Sean Mcvays coaching staff each season is amazing. He grinds & stays true to himself.
-Plushaving & showing confidence with your FG kicker pays off.The Rams right now are better off since Gay.

—My wish is this team just continue to play to there ability & Mcvay & the offense stay in there groove.

(3) Penn State vs (1) Oregon

so.... whomever makes it to the finals, may have played FOUR extra games?? if the top 4 seeds make it, THREE extra.
That's a lot of game play to get injured & drop in the draft. But with all the NIL $$$, do they even care anymore about getting to the NFL? smh.
Nope. Get injured and stay another year if you have eligibility.

Plus, how does it look to an NFL coach if you quit on your team while they are still in contention?

GAME DAY The Late Games - Week 15

.

That first onside kick by the Lions was crazy. I was watching redzone and when I saw it I wondered how the time had gone by so quickly. Then I saw the clock and couldn't stop laughing at the gorilla's stupidity.

I didn't even know they allowed you to try an onside kick so early. And it's not like he was going to surprise them and catch them off guard.

Dumb and arrogant mixed together.

.
Yep. I think the requirements are just 4th quarter and you're trailing.
