But doesn't picks 24 AND 14 equate to a Top 5 pick for a team in that range that is NOT taking a Quarterback???!!!
Anyways, i believe OUR pick is going to be significantly lower than 24.
I wouldn't give up a bluechip prospect for those two picks, personally. So this is why I mentioned the bluechips. I think for us to jump into the Top 5, which generally is going to have a bluechip player sitting there, would require both those first rounders (because our own pick is basically an early round 2) and probably our 2027 first round pick.
Now if Atlanta tanks and that pick ends up being in the 8-10 range, then I think we have more of a chance to move up into top 5. But convincing a team to pass up on a bluechip value prospect is always going to be tough. This is why I think, as the picks are currently aligned at least, that we're looking at after those bluechips.
Some years there's more of those than other years of course. No idea how many are in this draft. But wherever that change in quality happens, that's probably our target range barring us ending up with a higher pick value due to Atlanta disintegrating.
