Book recommendations

Well, I will always recommend the Wheel of Time series but it can be a bitch to get thru.

14 books plus a prelude and each book other than the prelude is over 600 pages in a hard back.

And books 8 - 10 are hell to get thru (especially book 10 - it is a real bitch to get thru). If you can get thru book 10, then the rest of the series is well worth it.

But the series overall is the best fantasy series I have ever read.

FYI - book 1 is the author's tribute to Tolkien because it is very similar to Tolkien's story.

After that - it goes on in a completely different manner. It has a huge worldview and gets very political in nature.

Edit - I can also add quite a few other recommendations.

If you like Weird Sci Fi that is fun - I recommend Stephen Donaldson's The GAP CONFLICT series.

However, Book 1 was a test that he tried out and it sucked and he even said it sucked. However, books 2 to the end is some of the most entertaining Sci Fi that I have ever read. Book 1 is fairly short so if you can get thru it., the rest of the series is well worth it.
Actually it is called the GAP CYCLE not GAP CONFLICT

QB 2026

Been on Sellers from the get go and also like his progression this year but yeah he needs to keep it up. Also yesterday was the first I'd watched Sellers and that release is amazing.
2 guys I wasnt interested in prior to the season were Sellers and Mendoza. 2 guys I now hope and pray end up in Horns are Sellers and Mendoza. (obviously not both, one or the other)
Both have absolute next level releases, stuff that cant be taught. I've seen plenty of guys with quick releases, but not the elite arm strength that these 2 possess.

LEGEND Food Porn

Fish heads are so under used here on the Mainland. I've mentioned my love for them here through the years... but this video took me back to exactly where it began for me. Especially eating fish eyes.

This is Aku or Skipjack tuna. They are easier to catch than all of the other species of tuna and they are also way more plentiful. The guy in the video claims it's his favorite to eat... they are great, but yellowfin tuna is my favorite. Thing is, these Aku were just so easy to catch. My neighbors had Aku heads cooking on their grill like this most nights. I never got tired of grabbing a plate with at least one eye!

The cheek on a fish is underrated practically no matter what fish. When we would catch chinook, steelhead, tuna, halibut, we would always grill that shit up either with a sweet soy marinade or a mixture of mayo and seasonings. Just some of the best meat on a fish - that and the belly from a salmon or tuna. Feed me Moris!

Rams made blueprint to part with failing QBs - (interesting article)

The hate Goff gets is so weird and undeserved. People made their mind up about him as a rookie and have never let it go. If you look at his career, it compares quite favorably to Matt Ryan's. Yet, Ryan, despite his flaws, was a well-respected QB who many considered a consistent top 10 player at his position. It feels like the only way Goff will ever get that sort of respect is if he wins a Super Bowl (and plays well).
Goff needs a Flacco like playoff run/Super Bowl to shed any negative narrative about him. I have rooted for him since he left Detroit obviously aside from when he plays the Rams. The guy is playing at a high level and is set up for a long playing career.
