Which QB should the Rams draft in the 1st Round next year?

As long as Stafford plays I don't see Snead drafting a QB high. The plan will always be to surround Stafford with as much talent on both sides as possible.

Regardless of whether you may think Stafford is in it for the next few years for sure, or not, it is an interesting thought experiment to consider "what would the Rams do if he wins a title and sails off into the sunset."

Two first round picks. So they could package a lot of picks to move way up, or to chase a veteran starter they like with another team. Have to think they'd exhaust both possibilities, so they'd look at the vet options first.

Re: Burrow it seems unlikely due to the contract. But if Cincy were to get good draft value for him in trade maybe they'd sit down and try to work it out. Not a huge fan of Burrow, granted. But he's a legit QB and McVay would probably maximize him in this offense.

I still prefer a jump to 1 overall though, in that scenario. Take Mendoza, keep it balanced on the call sheet, and don't look back.

Totally agree that being able to acquire the #1 pick and Draft Mendoza is completely worthwhile and should be done if attainable. Regardless of this year's outcome.

The St. Louis Cardinals MegaThread.

Cardinals just dealt Sonny Gray to the Boston Red Sox for Richard Fitts, Brandon Clarke, and either cash considerations or a PTBNL.

Love the deal. Fitts and Clarke bring two more excellent arms into the system, and Fitts will likely start this year along with Liberatore, McGreevy, Pallante and Leahy. We'll see how the roster does, if we add a potential reclamation project for the starting rotation, but I like that we're actually going young (none of the projected starters are over thirty) instead of the shit we did that didn't work.

...Still hoping for a PTBNL for fucking Fedde.
