The negative plays were Goff's lack of awareness on coverage. McVay has stated that Goff has to learn his pre snap reads and no where the coverage is shifted to. He will get all the reps with the one's this year and will be much better prepared. He has shown the arm talent and we know he will work at it. An improved OL and better playbook will also help his development. We should see him grow game after game.

Rams' biggest problem was their terrible offensive staff that were not on the same page, gameplanned at a "high school" level, and who led/allowed Fish to think they could actually contend with a backup QB. This looks to have been fixed with the addition of a young offensive mind who is very dynamic and who seems to be a natural leader given the quality of the staff he has assembled.

Their next biggest problem was an OL that couldn't run or pass block. While I think some of their problems were due to the above, fact is LT was a turnstile, C got overpowered, RT looked like he was playing on one leg, and everyone else took their turns making mistakes. I honestly can't recall a line as bad as last year's, gotta go back to some of our worst seasons and it's close even then. Not going to say it's fixed, however we have gone from a pile of feces to above average at LT. The line has been significantly upgraded on that alone, and if they can find a starting Center in this draft it might come together this year pretty well.

Third biggest problem was a mix of QB and pass catchers. This was of course affected by the first and second issues, but the nice thing here is that the QB position has legitimate starting talent. Goff has to have a statement second season, and if he does things look great for us. If not, it's a rebuild. WR and TE is the same deal, with unproven talent that will need to step up for us to win.

So IMO we've gone from a team that didn't have a chance due to critical offensive shortfalls to a team that has a chance to grow into something worth watching. That's a pretty good offseason and when you look at the addition of Phillips as DC it's hard to find another team who has improved as much as the Rams have. On paper of course, so for those who are paranoid they have good reason to be. But I'm pretty stoked right now and can't wait for the draft.

Feeny, Tankersley, and Stewart are players. Not sure if Feeny can handle center...I wouldn't take him at 37.

Roseman is lying. They were interviewed last summer and he said they liked both QBs and were prepared to take whichever was available at #2, because they felt that they didn't have the ammo to move up to the first pick.

I thought Doctson was the best wr in the draft last year. I liked Mike Thomas too...not that one...the Saints guy.
He grew up around TO...Jeff Garcia, 9ers of Montana & Rice..He played wr in college. Option QB in high school. Coached TE's...The guy bleeds offensive sets...and is imaginative & innovative. Young enough to take opinions from valued staff members. I'll say it again...I really like the Yarber hiring. I can't see these guys grabbing a wr in the 2nd unless they really believe that there's a 1st round talent that slipped.

Seriously...I like players that look like him...I like a bunch of the guys at Florida...I like Teez...but I don't want him on the Rams...But I do agree, you strengthen a team up front, and up the middle..just like baseball. At least YouTube doesn't just auto-ban our videos anymore. That used to piss me right the hell off. 4-5 hours of work and - BAM - flagged for copyright infringement. Huge agree with this^^^^

I don't want him. He's incredibly talented but was an underachiever in college. He has admitted to freelancing and not listening to his coaches because he didn't like the role they wanted him to play. He has major effort issues and only plays when he wants to play. He's the type of player that McVay and co. have been jettisoning from this team. I'll let our coaches make their decision on whether they want to deal with a kid like that, but personally, I wouldn't hand them a knucklehead like him when they're trying to lay the foundation for a successful team, especially not with our top pick.
