GAME DAY AFC Championship - Bills at Chiefs

Any data. It could be used for velocity, position on the field, ball orientation, spin rate, and a host of other data.

Next Gen Stats use cameras, but they already have the ball capable of getting the calls EXACTLY right down to the centimeter now. And they have the money.

Which begs the question, why don’t they want definitive answers? Why don’t they want to know the actual answer rather than very imperfect human observation (I’m being generous here).
They want the "flexibility."

Prospect Analysis from the experts

I am going to start (if the mods allow) to post videos here of scouting reports outside of the Senior bowl and other events not including the Combine

Go get Will Levis

Agree on Fields and Z.Wilson. Wilson got away from the awful situation in NY and, by all accounts, had an excellent preseason and the team loved him. Fields led the team to what, 4-1 before they started Wilson. And what did he really have? Pickens and a good D? Guess what we have? That, McVay, and a good OL. I'd like my chances.

GAME DAY NFC Championship - Commodes at Eagles

Jalen Carter is so unlikeable. Not only did this motherfucker somehow get second-place over Kobie Turner in the DROTY conversation (Will Anderson is understandable, but Jalen Carter? Unforgivable.), but he caused the deaths of a fellow teammate and a staff member and got a lot of people hurt at the same time, and basically got off scot-free.

And we're supposed to celebrate this dirty piece of elephantshit? No fucking thanks. I didn't cheer for Dany Heatley after what he did, and I certainly won't cheer for Carter.

Does this Eastern Washington WR slightly remind you of someone?

I like Fanin but I see him as a tweener, he is an inch taller and about 15lbs heavier than Kupp & Nacua and not as good of a blocker at this stage. I don't think he is the answer at TE but would be a fun piece of the puzzle to play with.
Had a great collegiate career and may surprise at the next level.

In a mediocre draft for QBs who might shine?

Who’s trading for Carr and taking on that contract?
40 mill for 2025 (30 salary/10 roster bonus), 50 mill in 2026 (40 sal/10bo) non-guaranteed
Plus he has a no-trade so a team would likely have to offer a sweetener
Rumors here in New York the Giants could be interested.

Jrry32's First Mock Offseason of 2025

Understandable criticism. My belief is that our offense's biggest problem was the lack of continuity on the OL. If our OL stays fairly healthy, I think our offense can do some damage. Plus, I added a couple vertical threats and an explosive HB (who has WR skills in the passing game) to try and make us more explosive.
There's no doubt that Oline continuity was a serious issue for at least the first half the season. And we can do some damage... but, you know, come to think of it... no one is coming after Mike LaFleur. I don't think he's all that & a bag of chips. No one on this board has expressed any kind of worries that we'd lose him this offseason, amirite? The final 2 drives we went into a hurry-up offense (ostensibly run by Stafford) and just killed the iggles. Then once we got there to the 10, went back to huddles & stalled.
So I'm not sure if our lack of production & explosive plays is all on the player talent level. For sure we need upgrades at offensive skill positions; but for 2 drives in that playoff game, we were marching straight down the field.

Dare I Say.. Sign Darnold?

Totally agree.
His 28-0 int/td ratio really gained him significant favor. His running ability was the bonus. And now it appears he can’t pass on the NFL level
It’s not far off from Drew Allar in 2023. He had 398 attempts, 25 tds, 2 INTs. You watched him against Notre Dame. Did he look like he has the mental capacity to play in the NFL?

Hes accurate with his first reads, doesn’t like throwing into tight windows and doesn’t like taking chances. When he throws a pick it’s a bad due to a bad decision. But 25 TDs and 2 INTs in nearly 400 attempts? He has to be good right? :eyeroll:

Memento's Just Coming Off the Loss Mock Offseason.

Great draft, I wouldn't hate it :D Lots of great signings / deals here.
Looking at Judkins, I guess I'm not as impressed with him as I thought I might be. I don't see "elite" in his tape. I gotta see something that makes me go "wow". Throws a nice heavy stiff arm. Maybe it's just this video cut, but I didn't see any other recent highlight vids.

You look at the Ohio State tape or the Ole Miss tape? Honestly, Judkins at Ole Miss was dominant. Nobody wants to tackle him. Physical, violent runner with breakaway speed.

Officials

The only way to fix the penalty mess is to use AI.
Try it in preseason just for holding calls only, and if it works, expand it to the regular season the next year.
If it calls too many penalties one week, dial it back the next week, or vise versa.
Could eventually replace the human bias completely.
Yep. I'd have a lighting system for the teams and crowd and one ref who gets the calls spoken in his earpiece.

Goal is no reviews and unnecessary stoppages. Teams would need to adjust to higher call rates though I'd imagine.
