Funny Stuff

I don't think he can be compared with OBJ. The clutch catch OBJ made against Baltimore would never have been possible if Desean was here. OBJ is a real receiver, makes incredibly tough catches in traffic (a la Bobby Trees). All Desean is good at is the "9" route.....run as fast as you can and hope the ball is somewhere near to be caught. Yeah, he made his bed and the whole league saw exactly what was left in the tank.....fumes.

Cheers to a distraction-free offseason so far for Rams

Thought this mock was pretty good.

You are right, I do like this mock draft, ... in fact it has 4 players who I picked in the ROD mock, CB Zyon McCollum, Edge Amare Barno, P Jordan Stout & CB Demarion Williams.
The only thing I'd have an issue with is waiting until the 7'th round for a RB, although should we re-sign Sony Michel, I'm all in.
jmo.

Liam Coen significant upgrade over O'Connell?

I was never really a big fan of KoC. Too howdy doody and mixed bag with a poor offense in 2020. Goff shares much of 2020 but either way I agree Coen may be better.

Better WR2 this year. Better QB in second year in offense. And maybe an OC upgrade. Sounds like only injuries or poor line play can derail what should be a better offense in 2022.

Agree. I am really looking forward to seeing KoC as head coach. Press conferences post game, etc.

He operated a LOT in the background here.

Undercover Fast Food

I'm a Mexican food lover. So I prefer Taco Bell. Yeah, its not authentic but its good enough. Their 5 dollar Chalupa box is a good deal. You get a 5 layer burrito, chalupa and soft taco plus the drink. I sub the cinnamon twists for chips and cheese. I don't use the drive through. I walk in, order and grab a bunch of their fire and diablo hot sauces. I have a gallon size ziplock bag full of their sauce packs. I use it on my egg omelets every morning.

The Rams Don’t Need Anything
by Navin R. Johnson

The Rams don’t need anything.
Except OBJ. They don’t need anything else. Just OBJ…and Tyrann Matthieu. That’s all they need. OBJ, Matthieu…and another CB. They don’t need one other thing…not one…oh, wait…they need another pass rusher. They just need OBJ, Matthieu, a CB, a pass rusher, and nothing else. Except OL depth, for sure. But that’s all they need.

What do you think? Is he right? Okay always thought he was kind of a jerk.
I think Navin is spot in his evaluation of the Rams needs.

It's good to see that he has finally found his special purpose.

Cooper Kupp discusses contract negotiations

This is refreshing on a couple of points... The first being he knows what he wants and the second he seems to know that draining another few million from the team, isn't going to change his or his families lives.
I've been there myself - though the pay scale was radically different!, but changing employers for $5, $10 or even $20K was not going to impact my finances, as much as as a different commute, having to break in a new manager or adjusting to another idiot corporate structure. :wow2: That part I get.
Coop is definitely a we, not me, character and great to have him as a Ram.

Current FA options at Edge & CB

The consensus from this group is that cornerbacks are thin. That runs in the exact opposite direction of our early depth analysis of this draft, as cornerbacks were rated as the third deepest position of this draft. How can that be? The Pro Football Talk article is skewed towards teams looking at the early rounds. As is the case with several positions, few prospects in this draft class have the unquestioned profiles of being NFL ready. That actually benefits the Rams somewhat, as the obscurity over who are the standout defensive backs gives the always-prepared Rams draft team an advantage over other teams.

Thats a new take. If true, the last part makes sense; it could benefit the Rams.

USFL GDT: Easter Sunday Games

Watch the Birmingham Stallions replay. The one with the fans. lol. But that's why I said I loved the throwback to 2020 sporting events. :D
Yeah...at least pipe in the fake covid-19 crowd cheering.

I hope the crowds pick up. Maybe Easter holiday had an affect.

The other thing, is only Birmingham has home games. All 7 other team's fans don't get to see their team unless they travel to Alabama.

I've heard next year they intend to play in their own home stadium. So, I'm just gonna roll with all this, this season!

Update: Stephon Gilmore signs with Colts

OK. I love Ramsey in the Star-role. Hate it when offenses avoid a top-cover-corner; and think Ramsey is at his best when he is most engaged and challenged.
I would like to see a secondary where he can play inside or out and we aren't weaker in the other spot whether that means adding another boundry CB who granted won't be as good as him likely or adding a good slot I'm all for it. CB was my #1 draft need last year and it's not changed at all if anything it's been reinforced this off season.

Tom Brady & Asshole Face Plotted Dolphins Takeover?

"Obstacle,"...?

Rams are 3-0 against Brady in the last two years. Manhandled him in LA once, beat him close in Tampa in '20 and were well on their way to an epic playoff beat-down until Akers got the dropsies.

And still ripped their hearts out at the end.

You haven't heard? Brady was the one who forced all those fumbles to lead an epic comeback.
