Should the Rams explore moving Van Jefferson?

I would 100% trade him if we got offered anything.
Same. He seems like a great person but I want more dogs out there at wideout. Guys who are gonna battle. It's not a size thing, more an attitude thing that we need for that room. That and some more speed.

If the Rams are thinking wideout that addition better be that type of player. Otherwise just trade down a bit, go get a TE (there are some feisty fuckers among them) and start plugging holes.

Ramsey traded to Miami for ‘23 3rd rd pick(#77 overall) and TE Hunter Long

Ramsey took too many chances in Morris' bend-and-break scheme.
Yeah I suspect he freelanced a bit too much for Morris' liking. We'll never know the truth of it because we don't know what the calls were when we watch the tape, but he has a tendency going way back to act like it's someone else's fault and sometimes it feels like he's overselling it.

Like when he hit Rapp in the huddle that time. Could be that he was at fault. But if so he's the superstar so he gets away with it and everyone assumes Rapp was wrong. We of course will never know.

All this stuff aside it's not a bad thing for him to go to a new team where he has to prove himself again. Sometimes that shakeup can help the player and the teams in question.

“All inclusive mock”

I have read and seen that as well, but I have also seen Steen ranked higher than Uzumah. I believe Walter football has Steen mocked to the Rams at #36. Im cool no matter how we get both guys. They would be building blocks on both sides of the ball.

Just curious, how did you react when the Rams passed on a Center and picked Atwell? Did your dog survive?
I had a cat back then. Easy choice.

I’m No draftnik, but here’s how a good start to Rams draft might look…

I say it every year.
Team needs don't influence player availability.
Teams draft players and not positions.

It would be utterly foolish for this team to focus on a particular position and pass on a better player that happens to not play a position being focus upon.

Take the BPA within reason and fill holes with free agency.

Meet more than likely your next Rams QB

I still think Tanner McKee is the biggest sleeper in this draft at QB. He's like Stafford a pure pocket passer with the height and arm strength to survey the field and make those deep strikes. He's very experienced at reading defenses coming from a west coast offense, featuring multiple WR options and route combinations. In other words he's the perfect fit for McVays. They probably can get him at 36 and they will get a QB that can be the successor to Stafford after two years. If Stafford doesn't last that long then he would be capable of stepping in and running McVay's offense.

I like Tune but I love McKee's ceiling. He plays like Stafford and it would be a mistake not to take him if he's on the board at 36.

I can't help but wish...

Tiger looked more worse for wear this year than he did last year. Biggest problem he has is that he wont lay off the practice. After the Masters its really got to burn his ass that his nemesis, Phil Mickleson, sets record for oldest guy to finish top 5 while his buddy, Fred Couples sets record for oldest guy to make cut.
Plantar fascitis is no joke, it heals when it heals. Tiger's biggest hurdle is Tiger himself.
I'll never rule the guy out though

TRADE: Falcons acquire CB Okudah for 5th

Maybe you were thinking of Drew Hill.

Back-up WR with the Rams but a productive Kick-off return man.

Traded to the Houston Oilers and had Pro Bowl seasons as part of their Run-and-Shoot offense.

Sadly, Drew Hill passed-away in his 50s.

th
Yeah , I think your right. He was one of my favorite players.

I saw Tony Hill play QB in High School. Then Drew Pearson was also a Cowboy.
Always thought The Rams had the best of both. They were all in that same era. Sad he passed so early

Billy Waddy #50 overall or Tony Hill #62 ? I always liked Tony Hill
and Stanford grad.

What an excellent draft - some of my favorite players drafted in 1977 though.
Vince Ferragamo’s brother was a local favorite.Banning High School was another Top LA football machine.
—Going to Nebraska was a big deal.

Dead money question.

Now I’m more confused. So guaranteed money can be shared or assumed by the team acquiring the player? But it is still dead cap and all of it comes due at the time of the trade by whichever team is paying it? If so, then why is Kupp or AD considered untraceable? If a team wants them badly enough they could take on the dead cap hit.
I think @dieterbrock explained it concisely and well; and the follow-up post from @OldSchool, where he wrote:
"Guaranteed salary not yet paid out goes with the player to his new team just like roster bonuses go to the new team."
provides even more clarity.
