My ancestors "poached" on your land and had 4=wheel drive hand carts!Had ancestors in Essex, a couple of knights even.
I think Mahommey will raise his game and Kelsey will be in top form for the game. The Chefs win and Kelsey retires and the Iggles suffer the fate of a loser.Which team is the hungriest?
I can make a case for both.
The Chiefs have some vulnerability, but it feels like the Chiefs to me. They have the glam not focused aura around them but they seem hungry to me despite all that.
Everyone says slow Barkley; the Chiefs defense is #7 best / 4.1ypc this season. Solid. Then again, Buffalo ran on them.
Barkley is literally at his peak... Dude is a stud, right here, right now. I am going to enjoy that element of the Super Bowl… this is the cherry on top his special season. People will remember this one.
I would have loved a Rams vs KC Super Bowl. I think we could have beat them.
Soooo close!
Bumping this as I am about to start the 2025 version.
Worth a read-read and I think and a tip of the cap to the Rams work in the draft.
The Rams ended up doing so well in the 6th round last year. Here is from pick 196 on.
- 6 (196): DI Tyler Davis, Clemson
- 6 (209): K Joshua Karty, Stanford
- 6 (213): WR Jordan Whittington, Texas
- 6 (217): C Beaux Limmer, Arkansas
- 7 (254): IOL KT Leveston, Kansas State
You're probably mixing me up with Oldschool there. I liked Verse's toughness on tape but didn't think he would be what he is. Did not expect his power to translate like it did. That’s kind of the mindset I’m in right now, but some great options might be around in the 2nd. Hence the thread.
More to your point about passing on impact players in the 1rst, I’m glad you brought that up. IIRC, you were high on Verse last year as the guy you wanted for this defense. Verse was easily my favorite of the the 3 Edge players who were most talked about, but I didn’t see the point in discussing it because I thought there was no way in hell he was gonna get to #19. I figured he was probably a top ten pick. I looked at a top CB instead.
Who knew?
If there is a “hot” position this year to go with the obligatory QB reaches by desperate teams, maybe, MAYBE a top player falls again (CB?). As much as I see the Rams going for a playmaker early, it’s possible a top defensive player falls again after the TEs and WRs go.
What would the Rams do then? Hmm.
Fans can be very unrealistic, to the point that they seem stupid.I watched the Michigan game with friends who happen to be of the entitled idiot OSU fan variety (a lot of those here in Columbus unfortunately) that were saying Ryan Day should be fired.
Which I know got some national attention - but similar to Franklin, it could be so much worse. And the thing that kills me is we have seen worse.
That Ryan Day has lost once in big ten play outside of playing Michigan (Oregon, who we boat raced then in the playoffs) is nothing short of astounding. It is wild to me how much that has been taken for granted....teams have let down games against weaker competition all the time. Not him in big ten play though.
And then the Michigan thing...prior to them winning these last four, it was getting to be a one sided rivalry.
You jest, but the worrying thing is that the above is increasingly becoming the norm. We’ve also decided not to trust the eye test anymore and stick to the numbers.
Too rational, need a little feeling added to this post.Fuck that. Bobby Wagner was an elite linebacker, even at his advanced age. Greenlaw is just a dirty piece of shit who is way past his prime.
I think guys like Bobby are why the Rams draft more older players and few young ones. Maturity is an important contributor to leadership and the Rams test for leadership at the combine. He is a very young player. Took him awhile to get it. Or he is a lazy ass and only giving it his all cause it is a contract year. The Rams should know which. If he was working hard all this time then sign him. if he always had to be prodded. See you later.
The more I watch his Senior Bowl practice reps and his play in the game, Royals sure doesn't separate much.Royals is really the only one I'm confident goes higher but it's still early. Thomas was thought t o be a 3rd during the season and he's just climbing. But we all know climbers lead to a guy falling.
But those knees. Oh…wrong guy.I like Darius Alexander out of all the DTs the most.
Threshold? Threshold? We don’t have no stinking threshold! What's the threshold on memes here lol? If that one isn't cool just delete. Sorry lol
All year the offense was sputtering. We saw flashes of what it could be, but no, we were not a top 2 team in the playoffs. In 2025 I bet we are.Rams could have won. But did anyone think the offense was good enough to go deep into the playoffs? I’m a serious homer and my answer every time I asked it was ‘NO’. They need to feed that OL and add a weapon or 2 for next year.
On the extremely positive side, the defense (other than 2nd/3rd level run defense played lights out. Future looks bright when they add a solid ILB and CB1.
I took the Sofi tour back in October. Learned some interesting tidbits. One is they have a Raider rule for home games where alcohol is cut off in the 2nd half. When do they stop selling alcohol at a Philly game? I believe most stadiums stop by end of 3rd quarter.
The kicker?
Same.I live in a small town of just 8k year round.. but summer rolls around, the idiots outnumber the residents 15:1 easily
