Morant, pathetic 25 game suspension

I’m not going to post a link here, as I don’t support gun violence, but the pictures are easily found online.
Yeah... Go figure. I thought simply searching his name would show the pictures. I added "gun" and found not just pictures but videos. His name should be Ja Moron. The NBA certainly doesn't need that nor should anyone. WTF?

Partial Retirement ?

quick little job today..3 hours labor and quart of paint.. came to 231.25... homeowners gave me 250

stopped at local flag store.. wanted a flag pole for the yard... total came to

you guessed it..231.25... then had to buy bag of concrete for $6.00

profit for the day..$12.75
If you're repairing drywall, you'd make buck out here. Most houses are sitting on loam that used to hold rice fields. Earth shifts, expands and contracts from drought and wet seasons. It's the first thing to go. A plus if you do stucco.

Why Dalvin Cook and the NFL’s top running backs will be facing reduced paydays

Don’t overlook 2 other important factors in determining RB success.

One is the play caller. McVay is notorious for abandoning his running game at times.

And the other is the OL. If an OL is neglected too long while drafting toys year after year, don’t be surprised if running game eventually starts to suffer.

I like our current RB corps and I think McVay has learned his lesson about the importance of the basics.

New OL coach that emphasizes physicality.
Drafted Avila and McClendon.
New OC in LaFleur that appreciates a good running attack.

These are all positive signs for a balanced O in 2023.

for those complaining about Rams wasting 4th round pick on Bennett

Nah, it was more of a surprise in how he framed an answer that was interesting to me.

It was after Day 2 and he mentioned with Avila that he'd harkened back to those interior Saints OLs for Brees and how they gave him room to step up.

Of all the good OLs for McVay to pick, he chose the Saints...which was rarely a top 10 OL, btw...

Then they draft Bennett who's much more like Brees than Stafford is from a body/talent standpoint and it started to click

I guess I'm saying that I think based on statements since the draft including now OTAs that Bennett is getting noticed enough to not just win the #2 QB job, but to become the incumbent.

Also, I think the draft fell exactly as we needed and not maybe as they'd have liked it to based on initial plans
The saints did have two all pro guards, didn't they?

When You Travel Outside the US....

I no longer travel, but I used to do so extensively and much of what you say rings true.

The breeze block homes are common in many developing countries and the stifling heat (and mosquitoes) can’t be much fun on a daily basis.

The obsequiousness to strangers you mention isn’t limited to these poorer countries, though. How often do staff in our own hotels, bars, pubs and restaurants actually mean it when they smile? Often, they’re just being polite in the hope that you’ll leave them a tip, which they need in order to supplement their derisory wages.

And the biggest elephant in the room is tourism as an industry contributes to climate change, which makes conditions in these countries worse. It isn’t just the CO2 emissions of tourists getting to their location, but also plastic waste, noise pollution, light pollution (which seriously affects wildlife) and even the environmental damage caused by those ocean liners you mentioned on local reefs and atolls.

Kupp on game winning drive

Below, a link to the Rams game winning drive in SB 56. Never gets old...!

A couple impressions a year-and-a-half later...

Whole game came down to McVay deciding to go for it on fourth and 1 at his own 30 with five minutes left. What a great gutsy call. Looking to WIN it. Willing to take the heat if it goes wrong.

We didn't fully appreciate the no-look pass until afterwards. During the game, from a distance, it was pretty subtle. Had to watch it later in close-up slo-mo to appreciate how insanely bad-ass it was. Filthy!!

Rob Havenstein with a clear hold, IMO, to negate the "first" Kupp game-winner. The Bell helmet-to-helmet hit was so nasty. How many times does Kupp have to win the game for us?

Ramsey on the sideline watching the drive, eyes as big as saucers. AD on the sideline looking eerily calm, knowing he's gonna close out the game by dominating.

Got tense just watching the damn thing... again.

Thank you Rams

Around the League: Can Aaron Rodgers duplicate feats of Tom Brady, Matthew Stafford in Year 1 with Jets? Comparing each roster

The comparisons weren’t based on current rosters. The comparisons were based on the rosters brady, rogers, and Stafford walked into. Both brady and Stafford won the SB in their first season with those rosters. The question in the thread is whether or not rogers can do the same.

Clearly the Rams had a much better DL than the bucs in brady’s first season and the jets DL this year—more players of impact and, of course, Donald.

Ah sorry, I didn't read the article.

Floyd to da Bills

People think he's got a shot at another ring cause he's going to the Bills? How many Lombardis do they have now in Buffalo? Must be a lot. . . .

They haven’t learned what the Rams did when it comes to picking up final pieces in the form of proven vets on their way out—wait! Don’t sign them expecting 17 games at a high level. You want them down the stretch and during postseason.

Miller and obj are 2 examples of that, but weddell is an even better one. He sucked the first time around. When he got called to play the stretch run, he was dynamite. Miller came in banged up and didn’t play right away. When he finally got going, he put it all out there for a handful of games.

Howard has an injury history and floyd has been playing banged up. He’s in decline. 17 quality games from either? I’ll take that bet.
