Day 1 of OTA's with JB Long and DeMarco Farr

Hey, just saying, Crosby is an elite edge. He’s wasted on the horrid Raiders, but he’s a cut above the vast majority of edges.

I think you'll find that a lot of people would put him in top 10 as a pure edge rusher and I think the Athletic guys have him as 6th best (and he's really good as a run defender!)

But, to your point, no one knows that cause of how bad the Raiders are.

Will TuTu Atwell Breakout for Rams in 2023?

3rd year for Atwell, so it's now or never on the Rams. I could see McVay go 4 wide a bit this season. Last Drive of the Super Bowl Rams lined up in Gun for most of the drive, 2 by 2 for the receivers, no movement, no motion, Stafford just dropped back, got good pass pro and just picked apart the D. Atwell should have a roll this season.

A few things I’m now pretty sure of…

Yeah, I could see a slow start because of schedule, but I also believe the young Offensive Line could improve week over week including the run game propelling the Rams to close strong with an assist from the young defense.

This year I am actually going to watch each game take some notes as I expect certain players to continue to grow each week like TE Hunter Long, CB Shaun Jolly, WR Tutu Atwell & OLB Bryan Young. My hope when the dust settles our Los Angeles stand at 9-8 with many things to build on and throw in a talented coaching staff assembled by Sean McVay, who also proves he is committed to chase perfection with the hope of capturing excellence.
I can see that if we have a reasonable number of injuries on our defensive side.

The two key players that can't be injured on the defensive side are Aaron and Ernest. If either one goes down for a long period of time, we are in deep trouble.

Rams sign WR Tyler Johnson

All this for a possible #6 WR? They are still without a kick returner. He will be lucky to make the team on STs.

The kid produced a game-sealing DPI against Green Bay (in the NFC Championship, no less), played and produced when Tampa Bay had many great targets, and was dominant in college.

I’m not guaranteeing he makes it, but he’s not just a sixth receiver (although I’m secretly hoping Cleveland cuts Jaelon Darden - who is a returner - so I can have my Madden dream of having him and Tyler Johnson on the Rams. …Don’t look at me crazy; I predicted Ramsey, Stedman Bailey, T.J. McDonald and - ugh - Zac Stacy.).

Rams DB Cobie Durant Blossoming into Leadership Role

I think the combo of Durant and Tomlinson could be special. I'm really liking this young group. They look like a group that can make plays on the ball which is what you want in modern coverage.
I love those two as well. High expectations for me on both.

The third CB is a concern. Which is not the worst thing to have for a secondary but unless someone steps in that will keep you from having a top defense. Of course there are multiple reasons I don't expect a top defense and it's not just the secondary. But the secondary should not be as much a weakness as the media is expecting it to be. If Fuller plays well and these two kill it we could end up with a pretty good group surprisingly enough.

Change 5 plays to change Rams history

One thing that hasn't been mentioned.
Sam Bradford doesn't get shoved out of bounds and blows out his knee on a late hit by that dirty Panther player.
That would have changed things for sure. If he doesn't get it hurt once, he doesn't reinjure it the 2nd time and eventually retire early because of knee problems.
We were at that game and pretty close to where it happened. He was in severe pain and I knew his season was over.

Rams First Round Pick Survivor....

The problem with rookies is that they have proven nothing. It takes a couple of years to know what you have in them. Trading for a vet means you know what you are getting and what you aren't, i.e. either they fit the offense or they don't. Take someone like Penix and the Rams have a whole year to coach him up. That said, Penix is very close to a first year starter type of rookie.

I would like them to draft a QB and have him at an affordable price for 5 years, but that means a learning curve and all the issues that come with developing a young QB. As we have seen McVay isn't the most patient coach when it comes to developing players. When it comes to QBs they are either his guys or they aren't. If they draft a QB it's not going to be a developmental type of guy IMO and the vast majority fall into that category.

Regardless, next year's draft looks to be a very interesting one.

Rams RB Cam Akers is slated for the best season of his young career

I am excited to see what the Evans brothers bring to the table and if both of them get playing time during the season, most fans will continue to mix them up during the season, what more could you ask for?

I am excited to see Tiyon Evans at the NFL level. I REALLY like him.

That team photo, haha. Kind of bad ass. Kind of bad. He nailed it.

International Travel For Mobility Impaired. Help!

Thanks man..... I can still walk a couple hundred steps and don't quite need a scooter. I have since found that when you buy your ticket and getting a boarding pass(?) with a handicap designation. I think you call your connecting airline, which in my case will probably be Lufthansa, will send a representative with a wheelchair. They will take you to a restroom, if needed, through security and to the gate. The luggage will be an issue because even if you check it through to your final destination, you still have to claim everything and take it with you for inspection/security when boarding in terminal 5 (International gates). I've written to those who handle issues like this at Ohare and am waiting for a response.
My wife can walk about a 100 steps but she gets tired really easily

So after 100 steps - she is pretty much done for the day

The scooter is really nice and most people are very polite to you too and will let you by with no problems
