3rd and 17 touchdown....
lets work on some situational ideas in practice.
cant let that happen.
In a tough game like that there are always going to be a handful of plays you can point at that were the difference in losing. Both of those fit that criteria for sure. You can add the third down where Spoon was in position but was late to react and they converted for the first down right before the TD. This really is a game of inches. The play that’s not getting enough talk is the EJ53 dropped INT on the drive right before the half. It’s very likely a house call. Instead Baltimore drives down and gets points. Legit 10 point swing right there.
"Okay everybody VENT! No, not like that!"
If you take away the punt return in OT or have the ball downed at the one, it’s a different game.If you really take away the first blown coverage it's a different game. The second one I'll give OBJ credit for the move he put on our guy.
A drive killing mistake by Shelton for sure. In a game where they were very good in the first half they had issues in the 2nd half. Shame because they were on the way to their best performance of the year as a unit.I think people may want to watch the replay and rethink blaming Mcvay on the delay of game.
The play was in and Stafford was clapping his hands but Shelton couldn’t hear shit. The RG got the tap in way late. Then you can see a Mcvay pissed off asking what happened.
Stafford played his ass off and was the only reason this was a competitive game. There won’t be 3 better QB performances all weekend. He was calling for the ball to be snapped. The center wasn’t snapping the ball. You can see McVay yelling at him right after the play.In a tough game like that there are always going to be a handful of plays you can point at that were the difference in losing. And you can add the QB not managing the clock correctly in OT. What separates the greats from the rest of those shitters and mediocre fucks is the mastery of all those things. Being able to slay teams in two minute, four minute, and OT offense. Stafford had plenty of chances and came up short.
He also had a great game. So it's tough to stay centered on this stuff but the Rams had plenty of shots to win this game they simply didn't make the plays. The Ravens did.
Remember when people on here were saying Stafford was done. LolStafford played his ass off and was the only reason this was a competitive game. There won’t be 3 better QB performances all weekend. Then he should have called time out. But it's better to learn that lesson, or in Stafford's case re-learn it and have it in his mind from a regular season game instead of losing in the playoffs from it.Stafford played his ass off and was the only reason this was a competitive game. I'm talking more about committing a mental error so egregious you don't give yourself a chance on the play. But yeah... a play here, a play there. It does add up.If you take away the punt return in OT or have the ball downed at the one, it’s a different game.
It’s always about a few key plays in close games.
Incredible game against a dominant pass defense.Yep, lets be positive for a second. Recognize how few interceptions Matthew has had since the bye. This is play off Matthew Stafford we are seeing. There was one :almost: INT today, but so what? We have a great QB under center.
Last 4 games (3 of which vs teams in the playoff hunt):Remember when people on here were saying Stafford was done. Lol
Keep him upright… have a running game… and he’s an effing assassin.Last 4 games (3 of which vs teams in the playoff hunt):
992 yards passing
11 TDs, 2 INTs
Offense averaging 33 points in back to back games vs the leagues 2 best defenses (Cleveland and Baltimore).
Stafford's been balling the fuck out. The threat of the run has made him a more efficient passer. Also helps that you have guys like Robinson stepping up and making an impact.Yep, lets be positive for a second. Recognize how few interceptions Matthew has had since the bye. But tell us how you REALLY feel, Memento! The refs are so full of shit. I saw at least twenty holds on offense and defense. They were mugging our D-linemen the whole fucking game, they were mugging our receivers the whole fucking game, and two fucking blocks in the back on the winning punt return. So full of motherfucking elephantshit.
But I want to leave Jordan Fuller, Raheem Morris, Chase Blackburn, and - especially - Joseph "Shitstile" - because "turnstile" just doesn't quite describe how awful he played - Noteboom in Baltimore. And Brian Allen. The fuck is he on the team for? In case Shelton gets hurt? He can't even see the field, he sucks so much. Shelton isn't the long-term answer, and Allen sure as shit isn't either.
Oh, and by the way, FUCKING PLAY WARREN MCCLENDON IF HAV CAN'T GO. I don't ever want to see Noteboom on this team ever again, and if the staff thinks he's the answer, that Brian Allen is any sort of solution at backup center, that our special teams is all fine and dandy (although HUGE credit to Havrisik for stepping up; he's the only reason we were as close as we were), that Fuller and Reeder should be starting, then maybe we should look for a new coaching staff as well.
Probably the house provided headset failed???they had some key operational penalties at the end....
Stafford couldn't hear Mcvay at the end...
They scored 31, put up 400+… averaged 4.3 a carry… on the road against the best D in the NFL.The refs are so full of shit. I saw at least twenty holds on offense and defense.
