The offense was the only reason this was a game. Stafford played lights out for 98% of the game. I can’t believe that is your takeaway.

So first I was to say that I don't think this needs to be anyone's "fault". The Ravens are a great team and today showed me that we will be a bonafide super bowl contender next year, and if we can get into the dance this year we may make some noise.

Having said that - when you structure the team the way we have this year, these games against better teams will have to rely heavily on our offense.

The biggest gaffe of the game was easily not calling timeout on the 3rd and 4 and is just inexcusable. I love McVay, but he will need to own that one. The second biggest was probably the second and 4 miss in OT of Kyren....even with those defenders I think he ends up getting the first or coming close.

The defense on the other hand actually three and outed the Ravens.

And here's the thing....the defense was obviously not good overall, but that's expected with our team composition. We gutted the defense and it's incredible that they can shut down mediocre offenses. But great QBs? Too much to expect of them.

I thought we would get boat raced today so I don't have much criticism to hand out....just proud of this team and hopeful that we can win next week and keep this going

Perhaps these losses to SF, Philly, Pittsburgh, Dallas, Cincy, and the Ravens will pay off in experience should the Rams make the playoffs.

Certainly they should make a young team grow up! Lets wait and see.

The Rams Offense went toe to toe with the #1 Defense in the league, on the road, in a monsoon. The Offense did everything to win. ANY blame on the offense and you can kiss my ass.

The Defense gave the points up damn near each time... ANOTHER wide open break on the D for the first TD, and then the Safeties again get blown by on the 2nd for a wide open TD.

AND THEN you top it off with a 3rd and Long TD for BAL to take the lead late.

THIS Raheem Morris bend but don't break defensive philosophy and playcalling is bullshit. Today wasn't because of a talent deficit on D, today was all scheme, playcalling and miscommunication on D.

I can't wait for him to be out of the Rams and we have a DC with cajones come in.

Damn happy with the Kicker and the Offense.

I was really happy with Luke today. Next week may be a different story.

I am wondering if an offseason working with his accuracy with a good kicking coach would do wonders for him

Guessing you replied to one of the few people I've ignored :D If not for the GDT and some of the overly negative people in there I'd have nobody on ignore.

The Jets whooped the Texans. Zach Wilson had 75% completions , 301 yards and 2 TDs :wow2:

(Yes, I know this is the vent thread but I’m not angry)

Thought the boys played hard really nred someone not named Donald to pressure the QB. Kudos to Havrisik for his kicking today.

We must have one of the worst stats in the league on 3rd and long.

I almost would much rather have them at 3rd and 5 and shorter
Playcalling, playcalling, playcalling. Drop everyone back and don't get any pass rush and that's what happens.

The play that’s not getting enough talk is the EJ53 dropped INT on the drive right before the half. It’s very likely a house call. Instead Baltimore drives down and gets points. Legit 10 point swing right there.

I think people may want to watch the replay and rethink blaming Mcvay on the delay of game.

The play was in and Stafford was clapping his hands but Shelton couldn’t hear shit. The RG got the tap in way late. Then you can see a Mcvay pissed off asking what happened.

There’s a reason Lamar is 20-1 vs NFC teams in the regular season. Defenses that have never seen him before tend to struggle. I just hate how easy so many of the completions were.

I couldn't understand how he was able to escape the pressure in the pocket all the time. Then I saw some replays and saw all the holding that was happening.

I don't agree with this. We've had the issue with Goff, Wolford, Perkins, Rypien, Stafford - doesn't matter who we have in at QB, clock management has always been an issue with this team since McVay took over. We're running up on an expired play clock about 95% of the time. His timeout usage is head scratching at times. His challenges are often a waste of a timeout. When does this responsibility fall on McVay, the head coach of the team who should be watching the play clock while his QB is getting everyone on the line situated?
Disagree all you want but clock management has always been a QB responsibility and it always will be. Many coaches will save their QBs from themselves by catching it, but that doesn't change the importance of the signal caller owning it. They get the guys in and out of the huddle. They watch the clock. They run tempo and read at the LOS and all those things that makes QB so difficult.
