Let’s not get carried away. He has the ability to use a lot of terms that make him sound legit and he gets into it. But many here disagreed with a lot of what he came up with. And if I recall right, so did I.
You can be dead wrong and still be brilliant at something. See, Linehan; Spagnuolo, all of the brilliant coordinators who have failed, etc. The guy was a former coach and - if I'm not mistaken - played in college. That's a lot more than what I did, and I'll be the first to admit it.
Not everyone is right all of the time, myself included (definitely included). People will have disagreements. People will challenge the thoughts and opinions of others, and many times, the challenger is right and the person who came up with it is wrong.
Jim's problem was that he couldn't admit that he was wrong, that others who disagreed with him were right. And he lashed out instead of admitting his faults. That was my main problem with him: that he couldn't treat others with any respect.
