Ramsey dropped an INT in that game too. So, I don’t understand how Tart’s drop is a factor.
The Tart dropped pick is maybe the single most overrated “what if” in NFL history. There was still almost 10 min left in the game. If you freeze frame it when the ball hits his hands, OBJ is *right there* ready to tackle him. They woulda had it at their own 30. It would’ve been the same thing as a punt. Plus it was only a 3 point game. The notion that Tart hanging onto that ball would’ve assured SF a victory is just not something that’s backed up by the facts.

I think everyone realizes how good he is to varying degrees. But, some may still expect more playing in the 2nd most expensive offense in the entire NFL (by $20 million over the next team). And one that may even become more expensive this offseason.
This is such a weird twisting of words to try and prove your point. Jordan Love is the highest paid QB in football. Should GB trade him because they got knocked out in the first round this year??

No one looked at this Rams offense this season and thought they were one of the leagues best in terms of talent. Not to mention the injury situation thru the first 1/3 of the season. The offensive line finished the season 26th in pass pro per PFF. Kupp is clearly diminished. I understand what the salary cap says but it’s not an accurate reflection of reality and what people’s expectations were.

Never said him making the interception guaranteed a loss. I pointed out the momentum shift and the possibility.

If Packers fan were touting Love the way some here are touting Stafford I'd make the same argument.

I don't know that it's as much about 'touting Stafford' as it is responding to your post that read ...
'Stafford is a pretty good QB'

That's where I think your opinion of Stafford ... apparently, lower than most ROD posters ... became clear; and some of the push-back reflects a number of us thinking he is a whole lot better than just 'pretty-good.'

OK. But I said it might have been a different outcome. The team had just made a huge stop on 3rd and 2 forcing a punt and then the very next play all that momentum would have been shot if Tartt makes that pick. And this is on a drive they later scored on mind you.
And if Tart had caught the ball, Jimmy G might have thrown a pick 6 in the subsequent possession. He did put a couple passes in Ramsey''s hands that could have resulted in points for LA but you don't talk about that. Suspicious, me thinks. Or maybe, you're one of those that is jealous of Stafford's vast superiority over Goof.

It's hard for me to see the Rams moving off of Stafford.

Not without somehow securing some other QB that is close to Stafford or an upgrade.

Last year we were about 10 yards from the nfc championship and probably a Superbowl.

If they could get a couple of 1st round picks for him - i could see them being tempted.

But at his age and what just happened with Aaron Rodgers - I can't imagine many teams are feeling like that's a good move anymore.

As crazy as it sounds, if negotiations go sour, I can see them going after Kirk Cousins (as a solid bridge option) who is apparently going to get cut. He may not command as much as he's essentially made a killing signing contracts throughout his NFL career. Not sure I feel great about it but other than say Jimmy G, I don't see too many vet options out there if shit goes haywire on tye Stafford front. Here's to hoping Stafford stays onboard!

Cousins just showed that he's washed. Thoroughly washed.

Jimmy G might be better.

Trust me, I'm not saying I like the thought at all about Cousins. Sadly I'd agree but if Jimmy G goes elsewhere, who do we turn to? Maybe Sam Darnold? Fuck these options all blow if we can't get this contract shit worked out with Stafford. Can't wait to know the answer to that question.

It goes back to the TEAM aspect of the discussion. We give so much credit to one player without mentioning, or maybe even considering, that he couldn't do it alone.
From week 8 when Nacua returned to week 12 when Stanford's ribs got cracked, Stafford had the second highest passing DVOA.

without reading it i can tell it's an article just to crank out content with quotes from NFL analysts who are pontificating on "what if" scenarios.

I was not a FAN of The JARED GOFF trade.I know where I was when I heard The Rams trade for the pick.

Yes my GF has a Wentz 11 jersey see will wear.It was for political reasons though. To think Fetterman just voted for the other side.Meaning it didn’t or doesn’t matter. It’s just funny the sorts guy was the one who people want to talk about.I just think times of life are funny & where my Life is today is pretty cool.Actually might watch Forest Gump today.Maybe even go to the riviera & go to GUMPS off The SM PIER.Take the bus & be all F’d up before 10am. Wow - what a cool last 5 years.

Also to think I didn’t get kicked out but my GF just walked out of The Golf Course. We walked in FREE even know we had tickets.

Pebble beach & Rory !!! Pretty Freaking cool - didn’t watch, but what a Golf weekend?

That’s my mind !! I wouldn’t change it. Places & Times matter!!

When I won my BIG SUPER BOWL bet I had A REAL LIFE FORREST GUMMP with me to collect. He hadn’t been anywhere in awhile. He jumped on a bed like a kid & he was 90. He’d seen EVERY THING !! He LOVED that season.Talk about WAR-HISTORY-NAVY-SPORTS!! AMAZING!!

My BIGGEST REGRET in LIFE was not recording & writing a book & making a movie !! I had EVERYTHING!!! He was an orphan
back in DC!! Talk about getting rid of the penny !!! Talk about trillions & billions!!! This country was built on people like that MAN !! I have his ashes & I have his Flag!! I live in a little box of a place. I’m a degenerate !! My LOVE & FAMILY mean everything! My friends as well. I’m a lucky MAN !! Still & may NEVER grow up!!

Anyway my Life & world has just went another FULL CIRCLE!!! Not to many people have been pleased like me. I’m a real life historian!! I know & have known it.I was so BLESSED SATURDAY!! My dad came & visted & was able to tell him how much I LOVED him !! Gave him a hug & said I don’t ever know when I’m going to EVER be able to tell you this again,or never tell you how much I love you.Gave him a big hug, cried & told him how much I loved him & thanked him for being such a great father. He knew Sammy. Sammy’s Son graduated from Annapolis, but decided to go Marines & led a group of young Men into War.Granted he was a Life Long Bosun’s Mate!!! You could imagine.I’ve been HONORED to have LOVE & RESPECT from some of our GREATEST MEN in OUR WORLD!! There are so many of them, and don’t even want to go where I might.Sammy isn’t in a grave. He is with me still as well as LOL as half my mother.I get to visit the other half this weekend.Sort of cool the places Life takes us .

I wish everyone truthfully The Best!! Hug your loved ones & tell them you love them! I’ll try this weekend .
