Yeah…enough about where the money was spent. We used our premium draft resources on the defense. The money went where it had to go.

Sure we all expected more from the offense. And realistically, less from the defense. But it is what it is.

I don't care what weapons you give to Jimmy G. He ain’t winning it all. He floats too many passes. He makes shitty decisions. He goes brain dead at exactly the wrong time.

You can come up with all the stats you want but when the rubber meets the road, you need a QB that has the mentality of a Stafford, Mahomes, or maybe a couple others.

Bring back Staff and figure out a plan to have someone in the wings.

Otherwise you’re rolling the dice on potential and a QB we have all seen doesn’t have IT.
I’ll wait & see what The Rams do.IMO it’s Mattew Staffords call.

Also wouldn’t say having Jimmy G as the backup QB was a bad thing & The Rams wouldn’t have a had a chance to win it all still.

Then again I drink just enough koolaide to appreciate what The Rams have done the last couple of seasons.

There are a couple things that concern me.He gets tunnel vision & doesn’t have a great feel for the pocket. His 7 step drop, especially with Big Rob not being covered up is scary.

The NFL needs to protect him more as well. There are to many times he is getting hit late.Really upsetting, because if your right The Rams season could End just like that.
—Like I said I’ll just chill & watch the process. Is there any chance Stetson is The Rams main backup in 2025 ? Is that alarming at all ?

FWIW Albert Breer on the Herd this AM was not certain Stafford would return to the Rams this year. Didn't have any real info one way or another. So apparently there is a real possibility he doesn't.

So, your interpretation is that No 'real information one way or another' translates to 'a real possibility'???

Personally, I would suggest No real information one way or another translates to Baseless Speculation.

But that's just it. Garoppolo was one overthrown pass vs the Chiefs from possibly winning it all.

He's been to three NFC Championship Games and one Super Bowl. And it might have been two Super Bowls if Jaquaski Tart caught that punt INT from Stafford. If that happens folks would still be saying that Stafford couldn't win it all.

No one is saying that he's better than Stafford. No one. But, it has been proven that one can build A TEAM around him and win games. Especially if the team can gain assets by his departure.

It wouldn't be as sexy a story as the hero QB leads his team to victory, but it is possible.

Before they did it I'm sure folks didn't believe that Russell Wilson, Joe Flacco, Brad Johnson, Jeff Hostetler, Mark Rypien, Trent Dilfer could win one either. And God forbid if Hurts wins one Sunday because scores didn't believe that would be possible. Guaranteed? No. (It's not even guaranteed with Stafford). But possible? Yes.
I am SICK & TIRED of the MORONIC take that if Tart had made that pick, the game was over. There were still, what, nine minutes left and frisco's offense had ground to a halt, so GTFOH with that BULLSHIT.

Hope he's wrong obviously. But I don't like hearing that, as I respect Breer. He always seems to have good sources.

Matthew Stafford gives the team the best chance to win vs. Garoppolo short term.

However, it's possible that Stafford may not give the team the best chance to win over Garoppolo PLUS players obtained via draft pick compensation and the cap space cleared of moving him. And that's short term and long term.

IMO, that's the Rams dilemma.
No., it's not only that. Stafford has the "clutch" gene and Jimmy G does not and I'm serious about that. This is an intangible not measured by stats.

OK. But I said it might have been a different outcome. The team had just made a huge stop on 3rd and 2 forcing a punt and then the very next play all that momentum would have been shot if Tartt makes that pick. And this is on a drive they later scored on mind you.

I really, really, ReEeEaly don't want Jimmy G to be the Rams QB moving forward.
Every time I see him in a Rams Jersey, I disassociate. Like, that's not real. I didn't really see that.

That clutch gene has gotten him one Championship run. And just like they say about Garoppolo, on a team absolutely loaded with talent as the Rams went all in that season. One could even argue that Rams team was even more talented than those 49ers teams.

In 2021, we were great in like six positions on the team which included Stafford. The 49ers had beaten the Rams several time in a row before the NFCCG and MOST NFL experts would have said that the Niners had a better roster than our team even with the Von Miller and OBJ additions. What Stafford did against Brady and the Buccs was legendary in that final drive with less than a minute left and no (?) time outs.. The No Looker on 3rd or 4th down on the last critical scoring drive to Kupp, saved the Super Bowl when coupled with Donald's 4th down stop of Joe Burrow. I forget how many games over Matthew's career where he brought his team back to win and he was 13 yards away from going ahead vs the Eagles this year, if not for the muff by Limmer and Dotson. It's a fact to say without Stafford in '21, we'd still be reliving our one Super Bowl every year, and we sure as hell wouldn't even have made the playoffs this year.

I can relate, I feel the same way about LeBron. Big Lakers fan until then. Now so happy he will be going, eventually.

No running game, TE out and down to 1 receiver. Defense was loaded, not the O.

Ramsey dropped an INT in that game too. So, I don’t understand how Tart’s drop is a factor.
It goes back to the TEAM aspect of the discussion. We give so much credit to one player without mentioning, or maybe even considering, that he couldn't do it alone.
