Martin did mention that 2024 was possibly his last year. Not a bad age to retire. Great guard, definitely making the HOF.

Zach Martin is one of those players who retires and I say "he's not that old yet" and then I look at his age and remember he was drafted in 2014. Just does not seem like it was that long ago Rams fans were debating about wanting him in that draft. Remember a lot of fans being mad who wanted him over Aaron Donald at the time. Injuries had taken their toll on him the last half of his career I think.

First question when I read that was asking if Stafford will be traded. Ben thinks it's a low likelihood.

Ben's a good read. Gets it more right than wrong and owns it when he gets it wrong.
Was all over Rams wanting to trade up last year before Russini reported it. Russini reported it was for Bowers.
Ben believed it was for an offensive tackle... and I believe stood by that.

I remember Russini reporting it was for an OT, then everyone followed suit. At least that is what she claimed as a guest on one of the podcasts last year, leading up to the draft.

Hmm... okay so they both reported it was for an OT. Where did the Bowers thing come from? My memory is mud on this.
It seems like there was never a clear report they wanted Bowers, only context clues of when they were attempting to trade up?

The only report I ever heard was that they were trying to trade up for a left tackle. It was right when Russini was saying that she gets most of her info on what teams want from other teams.
I was impressed with Les’s subterfuge. First the fake left tackle story, even Shrager was betraying the Tams trust with a big shot earring grin on that one. But s as Lao the trip to Penn State by Les and Sean to see Chop, while one of their scouts went to visit Verse.
