Off and def. player of game?

Naturally I would lean towards the linemen. DL'er Michael Brockers had an outstanding game. MB played both NT & DE. Some of his best play came when he was line up @ both DE posts. Ethan Westbrooks was not far behind him either.

Hands down Jared Goff was the offensive star...He's finally on the road to make me eat my words :Dwhen Snead gave away the treasury when we traded for him.

Rams by the numbers

I'm surprised Goff % was only 40% considering he averaged 10.6 yards per attempt!
Too many penalties. Guess we can't blame them on Fisher, since at least half of them were on new guys to the team. We were playing so fast that I would think some of those penalties will happen. I'm sure that will be a huge focus by McVay and staff going into next week. Remember when we focused on not turning the ball over? That seemed to work out so far.

Moving Money

I'm thinking more clarity will come before decisions need to be made. I will look for our players to learn more about the system, the AD affect, the coaches to adapt as they see first hand how to use the players in their respective units, and who steps up.

I'm not criticizing those who want to discuss this kind of stuff after ONE FREAKING GAME! Oh wait... maybe I am.

Seriously though, after what we have been through, I am both very impatient to be able to say fuck you to the doubters but also willing to wait and watch to see how this season and our players develop.

Good start though - eh boys?

Week 2 matchup: Skins

Oh yeah, I wouldn't play AD more than 24 snaps...6 per quarter.

Agreed and I think the Rams will rotate him in to get him back in the swing of things gradually. And that's fine, because he'll be able to give this defense a few extra wins even in fewer snaps through making plays and drawing doubles.

Washington doesn't look the same...offensively. Defense still looks slow to me...Some stats from last week.

They have looked that way all preseason too. Check out the articles in DC during the preseason, it was brutal man. So coming into LA and "getting right" is going to be a very difficult thing to pull off I think.

Now that Donald is Back, The BIG Question!!?

Wasn't Walker the last one in? Then, he's probably the first one out.

Walker was signed earlier in the year and then had a domestic violence charge or something like that. The Rams released him for it. He later was cleared of all charges and they quickly signed him again. I think they liked what they saw. I don't believe he will be cut.

Rams have four listed centers in John Sullivan, Austin Blyhe, J.J. Dielman & Aaron Neary.

One would think that Kromer does not need that many centers. @ of which did not dress yesterday. DE Morgan Fox did play & played well.

If I had a say it would be the 4th center Neary.

He might. Sullivan was not getting holes opened in the run game. He was going backwards on a lot of run plays. He was not as bad as Brown, but still they need options at Center. I am guessing they keep the best of the two, but want to have a contingency ready in the case that Sullivan gets injured, or doesn't start moving the pile.
