Sullivan is key here....and backups that can come in and start....36 yr old LT and 33 yr old center could be a problem going forward.
God forbid we ever have another Georgia or a facsimile of Snyder
train
I agree because that's what they do. Phoenix as a sports town in general has never had the patience or attention span to sit back and endure a true rebuild. Teams here LOVE to hold on to their aging stars far too long...while also welcoming in aging stars passed their prime at the expense of doing whats right for the future of the franchise. The fan base is largely to blame too. I could talk about this all day but i won't do that here.
I just heard on NFLN that "Miami Taged Landry to the Tune of 16 Mil., But anyone can have him, But it will cost 2 first round picks!"Wide receivers

Jarvis Landry, 25 years old, Miami Dolphins
PFF Grade: 19th
FA Destination: Chicago Bears
Contract: 5 years, $73 million
Explanation: Jarvis Landry is 25 years of age and would probably like to go to a team and be the guy at receiver for a young QB like Mitch Trubisky. The Bears have a new Head coach, cap space and plenty of targets to go around. Landry may shoot for a team like the Titans or Ravens but I think the Bears are the best fit and have a chance to really turn it around under Head coach Matt Nagy.
People seem to forget that the Rams are the young team with the Coach of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year
That’s the whole point West Coast! They more than likely won’t be trading for a QB because they are pretty set on a QB but they would definitely trade up to pick somebody who fell from the teens and they think would be a difference maker in their scheme. It only takes one team to think this, and in recent years with the trades more common and less costly for the trader it could work out for us. I literally could see the Viqueens or Jets move up with us. I’d take another 3rd to drop 5-6 spots.Sadly, I don't think any of the other teams behind us in the 1st round will really be looking to trade up to get a QB.
I have no problem with allowing trades to be finalised earlier, but i'm not the NFLPA. If allowing trades earlier helps teams then it probably hurt FAs. The current regulations are probably etched in stone into the CBA so that would be a further complication. If teams can trade players earlier then why can't players talk to other teams earlier? It seems unfair for the Redskins to be allowed to replace Cousins but Cousins can't seek a new job.I thought the focus was to allow trades sooner. If two teams that weren't in the Super bowl want to make a trade after it then maybe make them wait a week. I don't like the trade restriction going until March 14. It would be better if teams had those deals done before free agency if there are questions about how to proceed. Other than New coaching staffs who would be affected? And even then new staffs don't really know their entire team until they get into camp and a few games at least. If they want to trade for someone it would likely be a player they already know.
So proud of you, JRob. A man of his word.
For our free agents I'm resigning Joyner for $9-10 a year, mostly so I can listen to Champ cry about him being short for the next 5 years.
UFA centers John Sullivan vs. Daniel Kilgore
This 9ers starting center just got one heck of a nice contract. IMO he is not close to being as effective as the Rams starting center John Sullivan. I read all our members mocks some very good some not so good.....but none of these mocks come close in their estimations of the high the cost of signing UFA Sully here in a few weeks. If a poor paying center like Kilgore can get 4 million a season with 7 million guaranteed then you will have to review all those mock that have Sully's contract coming in here far below market value.
Yes it would:yay:
Find the best prospect in these positions @ #23 ...Edge Rusher, Nose Tackle, Corner or Swing OT !
Why did you give me an ouch tho?
