It’s still good to have the first pick. A team could want to trade up for their top player, wether it’s a QB, a guy like Abdul Carter, Hunter, etc…

If they don’t like one of the QBs enough to pick at number two be, then they could trade back a spot, or two or three. Or even do it more than once.

A little suprised not to see Forbes in for a few snaps on defense (saw he had 2 on special teams)...he must still be adjusting

Scheduled Arrival from Thailand to Muan Airport at 08:30
• At approximately 08:20, while approaching the airport and preparing to land, the aircraft collided with a flock of birds at an altitude of 200 meters above ground. Flames erupted from the right engine.
• The captain abandoned the landing, pulled the nose up, and circled above the airport. Communication was made with the control tower to attempt a second landing.
• Around 09:05, a second landing attempt was made.
• Emergency fire crews were on standby near the runway.
• The engine condition worsened, causing the electrical and hydraulic systems to fail. The landing gear would not deploy.
• If the landing gear malfunction had been known in advance, fuel could have been dumped, and materials to cool the friction and flames on the runway could have been applied. However, the situation was urgent.
• With flames already spreading from the right engine and smoke and toxic gas entering the aircraft, there was no time to attempt a third landing. The captain decided to make an emergency belly landing.
• The entry and landing angles were good, and the captain successfully switched to manual control. However, deceleration relied solely on reverse thrust from the wings, and steering was impossible.
• To avoid damage to residential areas, the aircraft ultimately collided with the outer wall at the end of the runway.

Higgins was injured all week so took him out of fantasy lineup and then forgot Bengals played today to check on status. Fuck me and my fantasy year.

Having Chinese take out. Wife went to pick it up. Chicken chow mein with garlic chicken and orange chicken. Not much of a rice guy so I choose all chow mein. This place a couple miles away has the best take out in my opinion.

I was a Rams fan before this, but this season was the first season where I really became aware of the NFL. It was so fun to see and hear names that I haven't heard in decades. Mercury Morris, Johnny Unitas (passed 40,000 yards in this week) and many more. Woodall filled in for an injured Joe Namath in the Jets game. Namath was quoted as saying that John Hadl was the best passer in the league (lol @den-the-coach ). The Eagles' Roman Gabriel dueled with the Redskins' back up QB Sonny Jerginson while healthy starter Billy Kilmer stalked the sideline.
It's interesting to remember the powerhouse teams in 1973 like the Miami Dolphins (defending World Champs), Steelers, Vikings and Cowboys..
I also realized why I was less familiar with Olinemen's names, Dbacks, etc... on the Rams because I rarely got to see a game on TV at 10 yrs old and only heard about the stars making big plays in the highlights and rarely read a sports page (Don't remember Dad taking a paper back then). This changed quite a bit after I saw a game in person when the Browns played the Rams that year. I believe Dad was gifted those tickets and he took me to the game. We went to Dodgers games much more frequently (less expensive?). Anyway, enjoy this old timers.... You too @Corbin !

I doubt Jake Paul ever bragged about that fight.

I really enjoyed watching Soto, paired with Judge in the lineup, but he did create a defensive problem for the Yankees. They had to play Soto in RF, where he still was not very good. That moved Judge to Centerfield, where he wasn't good. Stanton is the DH, so Soto had to play the outfield. It was too much of a defensive liability.

I'm happy with the Yankees off-season so far. The only thing I'd have done different is I'd keep Torres. His bat in the leadoff spot was valuable, despite subpar defense at second.

Getting Kyle Tucker would have been huge but the Astros wanted too much in return for one year of Tucker. The Yankees already traded one young, top level pitcher for one year of Soto along with a few good bullpen arms. It was fun but in hindsight, I'd rather they had not traded Mike King for one year of Soto.

Sometimes he looks too tentative to take shots. He also looks like he’s taking to long to make a decision in some games. He may have gone top five based on physical tools but he either needs more playing time or isn’t a quick enough thinker to succeed in the NFL. I’m pretty sure he started playing football in high school, which could explain his processing speed.

I was around.

Bears 46 D was a "stuff the run keep going to the QB if he has it" defense. I believe they always called it loading the box with the SS lined up close, and they did with Fencik. Madden would gush about it. The CBs were on an island and they had 2 who could stay with their man until the rush got there. Dolphins' upset on MNF showed that if you give Marino enough time he could expose them.

Rams did need a halfway decent QB in all of ED's years with the Rams. Everett showed signs of that in ED's last 2, but also he had some rookie mistakes. Ferragamo had been either regressing or the OC didn't play to his strengths. He wasn't a timing pass QB as I recall, and he could be really off the mark at times in his last 2 years. Kemp and Brock were average at best. And Ellard being a young talented rookie as their only vertical threat means their offense was very limited. Duckworth had shown some signs but then mysteriously went AWOL and wasn't available. Michael Young as backup, who's afraid of that guy? And Ron Brown wasn't always "that guy" either and was inconsistent.

The Rams had beaten that 46 defense pretty decisively in 1983 and 1984 in the big A. But with Brock at QB there was just no way they were gonna get past the Bears D. Back then I had higher hopes for him because he had at least 4 very good games that season. But he was trash in the playoffs.

As for the OL, pretty much what you said. Pankey wasn't all pro but I remember his battles with LT. It wasn't anything like Slater vs Reggie White in 1988, but they had some good back and forth plays. Pankey didn't usually require help on the all-world LB, and would sometimes get off a good block on him, or hold, and LT would get fired up and make the next play. Irv held his own, but one could only do so much vs Taylor. Madden was great calling the replays. Of course he was always an LT guy but he gave Pankey some props.

I actually liked the Bears back then mainly because they dethroned the whiners and thrashed the cowgirls. I rode their wave of cool misfits for a bit until that championship game. Then I was like screw them and their fans. A team I like becomes an enemy when they play the Rams. The fridge hype started to get old, and I thought the song video they did was dumb... until I saw the Rams' cringe version!

I'm still trying to design my Rams tattoo. Want to incorporate Rams, Lakers, Dodgers into one and have the basic design for it. I do a large search for the right talented tattoo artist before I ink anything.
