So with all of that canceling out, I think it will be in that $30M range with the above moves.

Now the question is who do you spend it on? Outside guys? The OL? Miller & Beckham?

I would think OL is the priority, but I would focus on Allen & Noteboom based on their position. I think Corbett might be the best player, but easier to replace a G vs LT or C.

If money is there maybe an outside CB if they move on from Williams or can't afford him.

Miller comes down to a lot of unknown's right now. What does he have left? Will he take less to be here, etc...

Same goes for Beckham.

I just don't see that it's worth holding on to them and costing you younger players that you will need.

Makes a lot of sense and is why I picked Allen, Noteboom and Miller as the FA's they keep on another thread. I don't see them cutting A'Shawn, unless they could get a great deal on SJD. They have to keep one or the other, imo. Even if Brown takes a nice jump, they'd still need another solid guy in the rotation next year.

I really wonder what Williams is going to get on the open market. Unless he gets really hot, I can't imagine it would be much. He hasn't been physical or able to do much shadowing this season.. scheme issues or not.. he just hasn't been good.

Or we could try the TJ Watt strategy

I'd like to hear someone ask McVay how good of a grasp OBJ has of the WCO jargon. He's been exposed to it and all but how well does he know it and is that going to be an issue for him to overcome or can we expect him to be online here real soon.

And their RB gained 123 yards.

This team is not bad because Goff sucks but because the Lions suck - pure and simple.

I don't think any QB could do well with that team since the best they can do are 5 yard passes.

We used Olive Garden Dressing, as named, which IMO was a good choice. Both the M-wife and me thought it needed something else to tone down the heaviness. After much debate we decided we would add diced tomatoes to keep with the Italian flare and lighten it up.

We can take the left overs and add that in after this work week.

The chicken shredded well and the recipe is as advertised. Next time we will back off the suggested 1/2 cup of dressing.

We have affectionally named this dish "Old Airplane Food".

Raiders are done, stick a fork in them. Too much in Las Vegas with Gruden, Ruggs, etc. They will clean house and start all over again, plus trade Carr IMHO. Floyd has lost containment a few times but I wouldn't say he's been subpar. He has 7.5 sacks so far.

The Higbee TD catch called back was a good example of working his way back. —Thought it was a TD,but when I saw it at home he stepped out.
Jefferson missed another when he found a soft spot in that game as well.

Ben Sko I think is going to be a good WR. He has talent & better than most think imo. Time will tell.

I beg to differ with you on this. The average height for an OG is about 6'4" and weighs on average about 315 lbs. The problem is when you get a 6'6" OG like Edwards he will have problems playing low enough to gain leverage. Technique is the key when playing inside. Edwards has always been inconsistent just for that reason. It's why I've been advocating for them to return Corbett to LG where he played very well. IMO the real problem is the right side. Contrary to PFF, Havenstein continues to struggle against speed and power. So that right side needs a complete workover. I think they should play Noteboom at RT this year to continue to give him reps.

All of these guys need more time strengthening and being coached up in their technique. Technique takes time, and frankly, I think Carberry's OL will look much improved next year. Because they are mostly collegiate OTs they need to learn to play with power and leverage inside. They tend to play too high and lack the strength to fend off a coordinated attack by a fast and strong DL.

The hardest thing for OL to master is pass protection. It's all about technique, communication, and having the strength and quickness to implement that technique. Some players never master pass protection at the NFL level. It's especially hard when you are talking about players converted to positions they never played.

If you break down Stafford's sacks there are several where he simply held the ball too long. He won't just throw it away if nothing is there. That as much as anything is the biggest problem. McVay needs to drum it into his head to take what is given and to throw the ball away if nothing is open.

In this day and age instant gratification is what people expect. But with NFL teams, especially OL it takes time to learn to play as a unit. This lack of natural cohesion is what has been exploited by DCs. That unit cohesion comes with time. Anyone who has been in the military should understand what I'm saying. They need to see things the same way and understand what needs to be done. That comes with experience.

This year alone is a hell of a coaching job. Mediocre to bad OL, a QB who's past his expired date and a lot of injuries and he's over .500.

I'm not really concerned about what AZ is doing anymore. That was a few weeks ago when fans here were rooting for them to beat the shitty irrelevant Seahawks.

The Cards finally stumbled and the Rams squandered the opportunity to make their move. As a matter of opinion, i believe that IF the Rams had kept winning, the Cards wouldn't be as cautious with Murray's injury right now, so essentially...Murray getting 100% healthy right now is thanks to the Rams losing 2 straight games.

I'm pretty much locked into the Rams maintaining the #5 seed now. I'm in the minority, but I actually don't think that's a really bad thing. The Rams play tight and seemingly less focused at home and as front running favorites.

I say just get in and get hot. Hopefully this time we don't lose one of our superstars to injury. AD, Kupp, Ramsey, Stafford etc.

Goff was acquired in a trade up. Some years there aren't any good QBs at all. Jones is a good QB. Just like Brady was. My point was just that. Belching doesn't make chicken salad out of chicken shit. Otherwise he'd have had other QBs ready to take over for Brady.

Now I will agree that He picnic is offense is more QB friendly, but he did not invent it. McVay's offense looks simple but puts a lot on a QBs shoulders. And I also think the Offensive genius label is overplayed with McVay. He essentially runs Shanahan offense with a few wrinkles and some philosophical differences. As in Shanahan sticks to the strong running game while McVay loves the big explosive plays. McVay is an organizational coach imo. He is great at running the show and getting more from his players and building a good team. If he was an offensive genius then he wouldn't be struggling with a repeating defensive strategy that so many teams have had success with against him.

I think Seattle has a shot, if they can score early… make it into a shootout back and forth, even if not super high scoring.

Seattle always seems to win those kind of games, especially at home.

Murray’s status is the wild card.
