We need to RUN and PASS Gurley. Seriously, I don't know hoe Gurley isn't targeted every single game with passes. It's a definite mismatch with the defensive backfields having him come full speed after catching a pass.

Yeah that was pretty funny. I watch the NFL pregame too, and mostly because of Marshall reppin the Rams. Had to laugh when he chose them over the Saints and they called him a homer lol. Great to see the love he shows the horns.

Last week was about the offense overcoming a playoff level defense and they came up short. This week is about the defense overcoming a playoff level offense. I do like a lot of things with this matchup, but man am I nervous today.

Rams getting a win here isn't end-of-the-season level need, but getting a W in the bank here is important to keep pace ahead of Seattle. If they can win today then they should be able to get one of the two (Philly or @ Seattle) remaining tough matchups and win enough to either take the division outright or get into the playoffs with a wildcard.

Just talked with Bob Lanier (NBA Bucks and Pistons). You just never know who you're going to run into down here in LA. I'm still looking for Jennifer Aniston though.....

I think Fisher is done as a coach. I think if he was to return he would probably get a job with the league. He was head of the competition committee, and he was very involded with teaching rookies the importance of being financially smart. He could be a part of rookie orientations, and do that "dizzy bat" game at the end of it.

If we win this game we're sitting in a good spot, if we lose.. we're still okay but gotta show up big time next few weeks.

We'd be 8-3 or 7-4 with AZ, PHI, SEA, TEN, SF remaining. In my opinion, just based on how this season has played out... I only see 1 or 2 losses remaining for us. AZ and SF should be wins. PHI is a tough one, could be an L. SEA and TEN gives us some challenges but ultimately I think we're better than them.

I see us winning anywhere from 10-12 games. No less and no more. We gotta start winning these NFC games because if we end up fighting for a wild card spot, we could be 10-6 and miss the postseason. That would be devastating. Let's just hope Seattle falls off big time.

Funny watching people trip out over Case Keenum because I NEVER said he was a franchise quarterback.

I used to think a Donald trade was unfathomable.

That said...I dunno if they do the holdout thing again. I have no idea what Donald asked for as reportedly the Rams made a pretty substantial offer. I dunno if the issue was guarantees, structure or incentives or what.

And JJ Watt isn't helping AD's case... JJ dominated and as soon as he got his money...injury after injury after injury.

I'd still prefer to have AD...ALL DAY.

That said if we had to plug in Dominique Easley when he's back AND had the cap room for some top flight CB talent AND a bevy of picks... I dunno that we don't fare better.

I mean, there's a dropoff from AD to a healthy Easley. But I dunno that it's $100M worth of dropoff when Easley coupled with a resigned Tru and a signed Butler wouldn't make more of a difference.

I dunno. Seems like I'm trying to talk myself into trading AD and I'm not... but if a deal isn't done, I think it's less of the end of the world than I woulda thought last year. That presumes Easley can come back, but I'm pretty sure he should be good to go.

I honestly have no idea how good this team is. I thought we could beat minny but it was clear they were the better team. I don't like the matchup with the Saints either. Minny looks like the real deal. Saints too. When you have a Hall of Fame quarterback it gives you an edge.

I'm hoping last game was just a hiccup and we'll see them rebound this weekend or after. But I don't know. It does seem we're not as good as I thought after the 7-2 start. At least we're still in the playoff hunt when we get into December. Been a very long time since we could say that.

Doing a little critical analysis is my own defense mechanism of easing the unpleasantness of losing. I want to share with others so they are not disappointed when a lose comes. I guess the fanatics don't need a cushion for the fall if the Rams fail.
