Let’s slot the NFC South Teams

This one is about as easy as it gets. Barring catastrophic personnel loss during the season…

Bucs

Everyone else. Like it matters.

brady left the cheats at the right time, went to the bucs at a good time (the perrenial QBs were on their way out), and un-retired because it’s a free trip to the playoffs.

Between the HCs and the QBs, there is nobody threatening or proven. Mariotta maybe, once upon a time in a galaxy far, far, away.

Let’s slot the AFC North Teams

Bengals
Ravens
Steelers
Browns
I’ll second this one^^
Tomlinson will keep the steelers out of last place.

The browns, just when they were building a good roster, found their QB to be cancerous. Their solution? Spend THREE 1rst rounders on a guy who didn’t play last year and will possibly miss the 2022 season as well. Should that happen, I don’t expect to see watson ever playing at a top 5 level again.

The ravens appear to have a couple of passing game issues to face—WRs and a consistent QB. Jackson would be, by a mile, the best/most dangerous QB in the league if he ever develops completely. Then again, this might be exactly who he is and is ever gonna be.

Cincy is the conference champs. They have a good mix on their roster. Besides a young, now proven, QB on a rookie contract, there’s a good blend of young guys (more rookie deals) and acquired FAs. They’re doing it right.

Which was your favorite pick and why?

I am so ready to see our Run D with these two next year.
I'm getting a semi just thinking about it now! It gives me confidence on being able to help secure our edge on the left edge of the line. Along with being able to move AD around it's going to help having Jones and Wagner shifting behind... it's intriguing.

The fun thing about an upside draft like that should be year two on. So this camp we should start seeing some real moves by these guys, well, the ones who will end up making a difference.

Harris getting hurt really sucked. Now he's a tweener who will be fighting for a roster spot on a stacked roster. But this class should be ready to compete and have a good handle on the scheme.

IMO after they got a full year's look at the 2020 draft and its focus on upside (I think being a weak draft was the rationale for that approach) they went back to guys who project to impact the roster faster with this draft. They're gonna need guys who can contribute quickly in this roster approach, if a guy needs a redshirt that's a quarter of his team control gone. But either way excited to see what these guys can do with all that upside. Won't hit on all of them of course but maybe a couple really step up.
I think this might be our under appreciated strength how our team leaders build talent is alot of our depth is allowed to redshirt behind legit top of the line professionals and adjust themselves to later on contribute to our team.

Excited to see how things pan out this year.

Not expected much from this draft class outside of our OG Bruss from the rookie class.
Les tickled my pickle and then ripped it off with the Tutu pick….

Video blast from the past. How many remember this?

I will always believe that the 2009 season may have been the greatest performance by a running back ever. Our offense was SJ, right SJ left, SJ up the middle. All of the NFL knew this. Easy game plan. And yet over 1400 yards and a pro bowl. It will never be talked about because of the won loss record but it was magnificent.

Another Sofi ticket question thread

Yikes. So, it was my first time at SOFI. Besides not liking the view at 500, there was nothing to wander around and check our. Not restaurants or even artwork. I had season tickets with my family in 1980-1995 in Anaheim, so I'm a long-term fan. I was disappointed with SOFI.

The wifi was crap too. You have to login to your tickets at the gate, but reception was almost 0.

I will say, it seems to be a big difference if you can get into the 400 section. If you can budget that, you'll probably be good. The stadium is very verticle, so going up to 500 is a lot higher up.
Damn. There are others going, and they won’t be able to afford 400 level seats. Shit.

Thanks for the info.

Jalen Ramsey had surgery on his shoulder today

He did an interview on the Pivot Podcast where he talks about his family and how important his girls are to him. Very much worth a listen.

It was funny Raheem went on there as well. Jalen talks about his contract which was interesting. Why he resigned with The Rams & his thoughts on his future.Liked the way he is dialed in.

The time off he takes off to rehab should really help The Rams defensive backs find there place that fits best for them.Jalen is such a Dawg that he gives others around him more confidence when he is playing with them.
I wonder if Troy Hill will step up as a team leader now that he is more of the veteran DB/CB ? The Rams WR group should be as good of a group as they ever have had under Mcvay. That will only add to the competition with Stafford coming in with a Rams training camp under his belt as well.
