He’s either a really strange dude in the locker room or him and his agent don’t care about money and want to stay in LA at all costs. He's a solid starter making backup money

We still need a CB1 but it's a nice vet signing. Interesting with all these 1 year deals.

This is fantastic news. Akhello played out of his mind in the Viking playoff game.

I'll say it again: Akhello is a good player with the world's worst agent.

Rams have gotten solid play from him on dirt cheap contracts.
And no team other than us has tried to sign the guy for three offseason's strait...

There's a story there, no clue what it is...

But we seem to be benefiting.

YEP — like I said, they had a hand shake deal.

Durant,Lake,& Kendrick will all be Free Agents at the end of the year.
If Campbell isn’t there which he won’t be I suspect a CB,OT, but a Top RB might be in play.

A MLber within the 101 though is forsure, but could see a trade back to get value across the board.

...or moving up and sacrificing picks for a real difference maker...not sure there are many in this draft however, as I think Warren is just out of their reach.
What about moving up for Loveland??

They could be planning to trade down for picks for NEXT year's draft...
That would get me excited if it’s w/ a truly shitty team… only thing is I believe there in win now mode

Yeah but I feel like there are athletic 1rd dbs every year or so, and some of them fall to the later picks, like Mitchell and Dejean did for Philly.

Sort of amazing.Still not signing Spoon & Trusting in T”White almost cost The Rams the 2024 season.Maybe they would have traded Kupp, don’t think Stafford was ever on the table. We see Pittsburgh was in serious need of a WR.

Unbelievable Jared Verse was still there.Mitchell fell as well.To think Philly was able to double dip & come out of the draft with Dejuan as well.He sort of helped seal the Lombardi

I think a TWhite that could have come back healthy without a drop off would have been the superior player to Spoon last year. It was a gambit that didn't work.

If I had to guess without watching a bunch of Spoon's all 22 - nor knowing what the coverage is 1/4 of the time nor how the DB is supposed to play in it - is that he has to be very inconsistent down to down and that's why we do see some splash plays but an inability from the Rams to reward him with any real contract nor any other team doing so either.

PFF which is flawed does not have him having very good coverage grades. Bet it's consistency.

dude made game saving plays in several games down the stretch.

Wonder the contract numbers.

Last year he barely made 1 million.

It’s still an area we can improve in the draft.

Our starting CB’s both rank low for starters.

From what I understand, I don't think Akhello lives, breathes and dies football. He's a well rounded dude with lots of outside interests. Sometimes it shows on the field. But he is an awesome CB when he is dialed in.

Good move. While I still think they need to draft a CB somewhere in the first two days, having an experienced vet who knows the system and teammates is good. Drafting a CB high doesn't guarantee you're CB problems are solved.

It seems like their focus on defense is not only continuity among the personnel, but its also focused on run defense. Signing a DT whose strength is run defense and a ILB who also excels in that area. I think they learned something in that Philly game. You have to be good at both pass and run defense.
