Never thought you were a troll until now.
Oh C'mon....

I clearly remember just about everyone freaking out when the Rams traded Goff for Stafford and mortgaged everything that season in hopes of a super bowl.

See below:

"We're gonna become Thanksgiving Day Version 2, Stafford hasn't won anything and never will, we traded our future away, McVay can't coach young players, Stafford has a horrid losing record"

So why not try and get possibly a once in a generation QB, that is fast, has a good IQ, good arm and is huge (6-6, 240 lbs), and can learn from one of greats (Stafford) for two seasons. And if it costs us most of our draft picks for this season and next and players like Corum and Ferguson, I think we should take a shot.

It's just throwing an idea out there.

Yeah, the slow LBs are not mentioned enough. While a much-improved secondary is badly needed, the LB corps must be improved.
And Landman was getting smoked in the middle of the field by TE's and RB's coming out of the backfield. I'm still shocked with all these "self proclaimed football geniuses" around here don't mention any of that.

I have no confidence that Adams will have the kind of year this year as last. WRs can fall off a cliff in a hurry. He also could get more pulls and tears as older players do.

Mumpfield has potential as a complete WR. Whittington to me is what he is. He doesn't look like a crisp route runner. He just is used as an underneath guy, gimmick guy. He will never be a down the field threat.

A guy like Lemon can solve two needs. A 2nd big play WR and a big play offensive player in general. And he can be a big time return threat for special teams.
Why do you say that about Adams? go and look at his catches from last season. Even after his injury he was doing great. Remember its not easy for these guys to get catches with a guy like Puka running routes. I just don't think money spent on offense is wise this off season. There are other more pressing needs like on defense.

I agree

I think our offensive needs very minimal. The only thing that needs to change is bringing a killer instinct, and if that means running up the score you just do it.

The first 10 games (other than the kicker) the Rams looked unstoppable. When Adams went down something changed in the offense, which showed me how valuable Adams was, and he really wasn't the same after coming back from his injury. Sometimes those tweaked hamstrings can be a prolonged injury and can take the off season to fully recover.

I hope it means the Rams will build a better defense than the Seahawks or they may as well quit now and just rebuild the whole thing.
Just to try and explain my responses.

When you wrote that ‘you hope the Rams will build a better defense than the Seahawks’ … THAT ain’t going to happen, in my opinion.

While Seattle has put a ton of resources into building one of the best defenses in the NFL, the Rams have put a majority of their resources into building one of the NFL’s best offenses.

When you added ‘or they may as well quit now and just rebuild the whole thing’ … I really disagree.

The Rams are Right There with the Seahawks. Three games this season that were All as close as NFL games can be. There’s no rebuild mode until Stafford retires; and, even then, not if they can add a quality quarterback. Again, my opinion.

Most importantly, I completely agree with you that the Rams need to improve on Defense, and at Special Teams.

I do think we are on the same page. I hope that clears up my thought process (right or wrong). I enjoy your posts. Best Regards.

The Rams are far from rebuild mode: But we still need to think about Stafford's replacement, the chances of the Rams pulling off another free agency miracle like with getting Stafford is very unlikely, as I'm sure most teams won't be eager to do us any favors unless the Rams are willing to part with a lot of pieces..... This needs to be figured out quickly or Stetson is going to be the Rams QB.

In ST's there were some bone head mistakes there that really hurt, but the kicker aspect seems to be solved (which directly cost us two game). And I wont get into the "lay down and try and catch a punt play" :eyeroll: .... it's gonna take me awhile to get over that one....And I guess we have have a solid ST coach now.... will see he can fix some things.

The Rams defense has many young players, and so you have to live with inconsistencies.... even Forbes was starting to get a little better later in the season. But the thing I found inexcusable was the LB play in pass coverage... to me that was horrid.

He had something like 115 targets and 60 catches at one point this year. Not great.

Unfortunately, you sound like a troll
So putting out a draft proposal that you don't agree with is labeled as trolling.

Couldn't imagine working on a design Eng. project or a recording session with some of you.... "It's my idea or the highway you incapable troll" :laugh1:

Funny I spoke to two diehard Raider fans about the proposal here in the office and they felt that would satisfy multiple needs for them, and "your old QB" as they put it..... But they are Raider fans .... lol.... And they would want Williams instead of Corum

How many people are gonna call you a troll before you consider that you are the problem?

Maybe my first list would be enough: See in red text.

I think Mendoza is worth it. Wouldn't think about if our QB wasn't 38 years old and is one good hit away from retirement or missing a large chunk of the season. Other than Stafford the Rams team is young enough to empty out some of our draft picks to get a Mendoza like QB.... Worth a shot IMO.

But your response is suspect. But then again you probably like Kid Pedophile Rock so your response makes more sense.

Round 1: 2 picks (Own, via ATL)
Round 2: 1 pick
Round 3: 1 pick
Round 5: 2 picks (Own, via TEN)
Corum
Ferguson

All 2027 1st and 2nd round picks
More crazy talk. There is no Elway or Manning in this draft worth giving up all that and gutting our teams future. Trades like you want are what get head coaches and GMs fired.
Your discernment is lacking. In football for sure.
Now I never was a huge Kid Rock guy. His song did go to #1 from his halftime show.
Eric The Great hated it too.
