I guess that's what happens when you have an artist of Puerto Rican decent do a Super Bowl halftime show in Spanish...... Ruffled a few feathers. :laugh2:

Cant wait for what the NFL has in store for next years Super Bowl halftime show in SoCal ............................................ Hopefully the show will include the Rams as a special guest.

You're banking on Burrow having two more miserable seasons making him easier for the Bengals to trade..... If he has a come back year next season he will be untouchable until 2030.... What will the Rams be like with Stetson for 2 years?????
You're banking every pick of entire draft and giving up Puka for an unproven rookie who had ONE good year in college.
Stetson Bennett is not the answer.

OK... I'll chime in here cuz I know y'all were thinking, "What I REALLY want to know is what Stu thinks about this".. This thread is about what "all in" means this year. Politics aside, the fucking half time show has ZERO, ZIP, NADA to do with the subject at hand. Let's get this back on track.

That said, I have a difficult time understanding how the mere mention of someone that has been identified as right or left, constitutes bringing politics into a thread, especially if we are talking about something as inane as a half time show. It also occurs to me that most of the time this comes up, it only actually turns political when someone calls it out as political. I get that there is a fine line but I have read through this twice and will read it through again. It didn't strike me that the initial mentions were political and really should have just gone by undiscussed further if allowed to.

I would caution that any time you do bring up a political figure, it could and likely will turn political to some degree. When/if it does, one of the moderators will generally take action. If it snowballs into politics, or if you think we have not noticed or are not aware of the problem, just make a report and we will deal with it as we have many times before. When it comes to politics, we don't give two shits about which side you are on, we don't allow political discussion on this board. I don't believe that includes the mere mention of someone's name. But if we feel it was done with political intent, we will step in. There is no such thing as having a 1st Amendment Right on a private board like this. So that argument won't fair well here. If someone continually violates the rule (or any of our rules for that matter), we will take action against the individual member and send them packing if absolutely necessary.

But - especially in this case where the persons were actually the half time shows of the SB, there should be some greater amount of leeway given by not only moderation, but you members as well. Just hold back maybe on getting too worked up over the mere mention of an individual.

Hell... I have used this gif many times. SoRam should be quite familiar with it.

Is it political? Clearly it is a political figure. But it is not political IMO. Let's be a little more accepting and a little less reactionary.

And while I have your attention cuz I know I have you riveted, lets back off a bit on all the troll talk. Argue the point and back away from the name calling BS. Besides, the greatest way to feed a troll is by calling him one and getting all worked up over nothing. Trolls live for that shit. So if you think he's really trolling, just pass it by. Otherwise, discuss it without resorting to name calling. I'll admit. I have been lured in as well. The takes seem too outlandish to be honest takes. But whatever. Let's all just chill a little.

Cheers all.

I was listening to a guy being interviewed on the BBC a few days ago, and I can't remember who it was, so take this for a pinch of salt.

But this guy was saying pretty much what others are saying in this thread, that the halftime show had nothing to do with politics and everything to do with exposure to an untapped market inside the continental US. .

He said the NFL have done their sums and believe that they literally cannot grow their business inside the US without bringing more Latinos on board. He said the NFL don't care about politics. They'll just do what's best for the owners and the NFL as a whole.

it makes sense.

And don't forget Asian folks...... That's where the Dodgers have done so well (and of course having a billion dollar payroll to stay competitive doesn't hurt either).

I think that's where the Rams fan base falls off a tad is not being able to attract a solid Latino and Asian following. For some odd reason I still see the Latino demographic with LA football fans with the 9ers, Cowboys and Raiders.... I thought maybe by now we would be able to convert some, but no movement.

But in spite of the above, the Rams seem to get more popular every season.

I didn't say it was......... There are plenty of blatantly political posts in this place you just over look..... Cant I like Super Bowl half time shows without people like you trying to associate me with some fucking political agenda.

You don't see me attaching political rant links to any of my posts like many do here, nor do I need to justify any of my musical preferences with a link that agrees with my line of thinking like many do here.

I removed Nacua from the list.... lol...

But the Stafford window is closing quickly, and the Rams really have to figure out something or it's going to be the 5,10 Stetson leading the Rams. :dizzy:
I think I'll let Snead and McVay handle it.

-Embrace different opinions/views. That’s what this forum is all about.
-Embrace facts if you want to be taken seriously. Expect to be challenged if you don’t.
-Refrain from personal attacks. It’s weak to attack someone from behind a keyboard from your basement.
-life’s too short. It’s a good time to be a Rams fan.

Back to the thread topic…All In means leaving no stone unturned.

I’m all in on major FA action this year which means creating as much positive cap space as possible.

With that said - Rams could create space by replacing players like DWill, Parkinson, Shelton, Evans. DWill is an easy release target. Parkinson is likely safe. Shelton can’t be released unless they go for a know commodity thru FA ( which I don’t see). That brings us to Evans. His release could create $3.7m cap with a replacement being at least $1m (net $2.7m towards retaining Curl/replacing Coleman, picking up a speed WR/ punt returner, adding a vet swing OT, etc).

SBNation regarding Evans:

Punter

It’s hard to say whether or not Ethan Evans should be on the hot seat. However, with a new special teams coordinator, nothing should be off the table. Evans has improved since his rookie season, but there are still too many ups and downs with him. He’s an average punter. Among 31 punters with 35 or more punts, Evans ranked 23rd in yards per attempt, 28th in net yards, 22nd in punts downed inside the 20, and 11th in return percentage. His average hang time of 4.42 seconds ranked 12th.

Thoughts?
