Agree we beat ourselves, but re-read my post. The refs work today was still inexcusably bad.
Never said it wasn't but they didn't cost us that game, we had that honor ourselves.

I watched the whole game.

It's really simple. Off Maher's missed kicks which cost us 7 points the Steelers scored 10 points.

Stafford the first fucking play of the second half throws a pick to an edge rusher and they have a 7 yard drive.

Maher and Stafford just provided them a +24 point margin. They scored 17 points directly off them and cost us 7.

Nowhere did I say the defense was great go back and read again. Even with those bad drives in the 2nd half we win this game if Maher and Stafford don't cost us those points. We win the game it's not hard we win the game if not for that crap. Yes the defense was taken advantage off, the same defense that had us dominating the game in the 1st half. At least we got a good half from the defense, can't really say the same for Maher and Stafford. Stafford gave us one drive.

And lets not forget the shit show the OLine was in the first half either.
it was mcvays fault that maher missed the fgs?

he should have punted or gone for it?

It really is mind boggling some old folks on the internet think they have any more knowledge than a Super Bowl Winning Head Coach at play calling. :laugh2: Complaining McVay didn’t run it at all when the Rams ran it 31 times to 29 passing plays.

This ain’t Madden and McVay has forgotten more football knowledge (which is very little) than you’ll ever know in your lifetime. Chill out.

I never ever blame the refs but this game was bad. The non calls when the Steelers are holding our WRs. The phantom calls vs our DB’s.

But notice how our DB are 10 yards off their WR’s while their DB’s hold our WRs hips. This is where Raheem loses games.

Having said that,

Stafford and Kupp have to be better. Stafford staring down Kupp with Watt there was a back breaker. We don’t lose to the Steelers if we don’t give them a defensive turnover there.

Durant and Kendrick have to go. Massive holes in the defense.

Mahers days are numbered.

Watch the pick again. He didn’t stare him down at all. Quite the opposite actually. He was looking left to Atwell and then he worked back across the field to Kupp. They dropped Watt into coverage and Stafford wasn’t expecting to see him there. That’s one you just have to tip your cap to the DC. McVay shoulda come out running the ball tho that’s on him.

For everyone on this board that bitches about other teams buying tickets to our home games, how many games do YOU attend each year?

There is absolutely no "money grabs" from the Rams fans.

The same issue was in Anaheim before Dead Georgia moved the team to St Screwus.

Don't blame the fans that need to turn tickets cause they can't go. Blame the fans that do not make the same effort to go as the opposing team.

This narrative has become so annoying. Much more than how many opposing fans are at the home games.
Exactly.

Also.
The Steelers are a very popular team.
They have a ton of fans all over.
Much like the Cowboys.

The Steelers haven’t played in LA in almost 30 years.
Of course, they’re going to show up today.

Eh, thats what we get for getting excited over a couple decent games. They are who we thought they were before the season. You can't consider yourself a playoff team if you can't beat the marginal teams. Lets just have fun watching Puka win offensive rookie of the year and some of the other youngsters get better. We really are not a .500 team. I'm going back to my original projection that 8 wins is they ceiling. That is if more things go right for us. Today showed we can lose to anyone.

I know this a vent thread but I'm not buying this.

If this is not a .500 team so not going to see much more Ws? I don't think this team is so far behind others to lose so much more.

If Puka wins ROTY. And Cooper is still doing his thing. Darrell returns and Kyren comes back. Good things will happen in turn. Should be more dubs.

This team is also talented enough to beat any other team. Especially this year.

Matt Canada should send Morris and the rest of the defense a fruit basket tomorrow as a thank you for allowing him to keep his job another week. What a choke job by the defense in the 4th.

McVay has no business calling an empty set first down play to start the half. Just absolutely moronic. Tired of hearing his bullshit week in and out, hand over play calling duties to someone who knows how to read the flow of the game.

McVay wasting time outs as he always does, and don't even try to tell me you don't think he does because this entire board talks about it, cost us the ability to challenge that late bad call that everybody is so quick to blame the refs for losing the game for us. If our coach can get his shit together with early wasted time outs we challenge that and win it.

Add to that his straight shit play call to start the 2nd half.

Yeah he helped to cost us the game and it had nothing to do with Maher kicking instead of punting then again he's the guy who picked Maher and makes that ultimate decision on the roster spots.

To me.. this was one of the key games of the season. Home against a team that's not very good. Would've put you over .500.

I don't see a path to .500 now.

Steelers take advantage of having a week off. They looked fresher in the 4th Q, Tomlinson knows how to adjust and motivated.

The Rams DB coverage is generally weak. (Bad PI call late). That leads to blitzes by Morris that didn't get home.

Some drops.

Questionable empty backfield first play call of the second half. Seemed like Watt and the Steelers knew the play was coming.

The Rams didn't build on the halftime lead momentum.

even if Higs made the catch, he was about to get popped and probably would have dropped it anyway

This whole Youth Movement is not that good. There are a few stars, Byron Young, Avila, Puka, and Ethan Evans, Kobie Turner But the other we have starting are just major glaring issues.

Russ Yeast is not a star of the future, Rozenbloom is not an answer, Ernest Jones hasn't impressed in his few years, Notebloom is hurt all the Time, Hoecht should NEVER be in coverage, Derion Kendrick is an idiot, Quentin Lake is not impressive either.

I know we're planning for 2024 but this season is hard to watch with all these late round fails in my opinion.

The D is what we should expect. they are young and mediocre talent. The offense could use a better O line, but should still be way better than what they were today. It feels like they are predictable.

Isn't lafluer supposed to be a run scheme dynamo......but why is every run seeming the same up the middle right into the teeth of the defense.

If I thought the Rams set up for a serious playoff run this year I’d have thrown the big screen out the window today. But as much as every loss (especially blown ones) hurt - this year was set up to see what they have and preparation for filling in holes via FA/Draft next year for a legitimate Super Bowl run. On the upside Nacua is playing like an all pro his rookie year. Witherspoon and Dotson are solid pieces for next year (Resign them early to lock them down). On the downside the Rams have serious holes at CB, Edge and K. I’d say they need to add to the OL and ILB as well.

It's beyond old reading people pissing and moaning about it on this board. The reasons are obvious the solution is equally obvious. Sadly it's going to take some time to change it but not sure it ever will change because scalpers own a lot of the season tickets and the team won't take them away from them.
