All I ask is that we stay far away from Fidone. I've watched him for the past few years being a Nebraska fan myself and he is a terribly inconsistent blocker and pass catcher. Little to no speed, has had two knee injuries in consecutive years and runs any routes that aren't straight up field like an old lady. Please anyone but him, he isn't better than anything we currently have.

It's a disgusting run, period.

He looked like me at elementary school mile - and I was last place and took almost an hour to finish.

I take back everything I just said. I'm so sorry, Mr. Helm, I am an asshole, and I didn't even realize it until you posted it.

He'll never be the fastest guy but maybe he can get down to 4.7 in the 40 during his pro day. But the way he runs is impressive.

Pretty epic 3-cone drill then after the sprain.

If a team likes this kid and there's reasons to discount this (injury, sickness, nerves), it's great for them today.

That's a disgusting time though
I’ve never watched Helm before the OSU/Texas playoff game. He didn’t look very special in that game or in the combine.

Didn’t read about the sprained ankle before posting. That’s certainly a valid explanation.

See my post above. This kid is a Fkn beast lol

If he bounces back with that 40 time all would be well I'd imagine. Hope he does, seems like a great kid.

Yeah, I didn't watch that game so don't really know. Certainly, he's got warts or we'd be talking about him as a first rounder.

He may have value later in the draft. After Warren and Loveland, I think you're throwing darts at a lot of talented guys with missing elements. But there are a lot of them in this draft.

Rams absolutely have to come out this draft/FA with some dynamic, explosive,

yes lack of explosives have hurt us recently . i could easily see us taking one of the top te's. if one drops in rd 1.
whether it's wr , te , or rb. we need a "could break for 6 on any given play" type on the roster

Agree, although I think these are issues 1 &1a on offense. A T.E isn't likely to provide the explosiveness we need. I think we need a big fast physical receiver. It could come from a game breaking RB but I personally would rather improve the TE & WR positions.

i agree, i just think both can be accomplished McKay is very hungry for a difference making t.e. and still think he grabs one early if the right one falls. if not it could easily be wr. wished we had our 2nd rd, would make it so much easier to get top talent at
both positions.

that being said i have no doubt we can grab some explosion at wr whether it be draft or free agency.
very deep te and rb draft with quality wr depth without the amount of super star depth as last year.

off the subject a bit but i have heard dt depth so deep this year that there will starting caliber players
as late as 5th round. we could use some rotational help at that position as well,

Probably why we wont work too hard to keep BB3, I have heard the same but haven't researched at all yet. I agree that SMV wants a TE and is done toying with the position. We have done fine but not to his suspected standards

just sent a letter to santa for a early christmas gift. i asked for a Zack Baun in free agency.
most versatile ilb in the league. number 1 in coverage for his position, very nasty blitzer. 151 tkls
can line up all over field
i know rams don't pay ilb's traditionally, but this guy is not a typical lb. he is completely different animal
than other lb's, he is a absolute difference maker,
eagles got a ton of very talented ufa's and don't have cap to sign them all. a jail break is coming phili's way

Baun or Bolton are on the top of my wish list at the start of free agency.

I was able to fix that one. It’s my ADD. I need to slow down and read before I hit the button.

Agreed. Fidone will make a great play from time to time but then disappears. If you are looking at Huskers, Ty Robinson is the real deal. Can’t help but like Hutmacher too.

A few here underrate Warren imo, which is their right. But if you pay attention to McVay and the Rams it seems like a logical deduction that Sean would love to have Warren on the Rams.

He’s tried to trade up for a playmaking Tight end in round one of the 2023 and 24 drafts. Plus he recently talked about wanting his offense to be more versatile. Warren checks both boxes.
I have a sneaky feeling you're right on this. I can see McVay trading up in round 1 to finally get his TE of choice (Warren, preferably). They could.move a few spots for Loveland with one of this year's 3rds, or up 7-10 spots with next year's 2nd. I think this year he finally gets his wish.
