I have a sneaky feeling you're right on this. I can see McVay trading up in round 1 to finally get his TE of choice (Warren, preferably). They could.move a few spots for Loveland with one of this year's 3rds, or up 7-10 spots with next year's 2nd. I think this year he finally gets his wish.
Funny giving me a chill for posting a tweet :D

This draft is so deep at TE, but there is no Brock Bowers who I championed last year.

Unless a TE is clearly the BPA on the Rams draft board AND they planned to feature him on the offense, I'm not sure I'd even consider a TE on the first two days of the draft. That's how deep this TE draft class is this year.
I think I put Warren in the same class as Bowers with Loveland just barely a notch below.

Teams apparently think Warren's a top ten player, at least judging from mocks we're seeing from the media. I think that's too high for him, but his versatility is really nice.

Bowers was more of the explosive threat teams usually want in that top ten at TE. Think the last TE that went top ten who was similar to Warren was Hockenson and that didn't go too well. Generally it seems like top ten TEs disappoint too, btw. Can't recall the last one that came in and lived up to that, though maybe I just have a worthless memory nowadays.

Love Warren, don't want to spend resources to go up and get him though.

Daniel Jeremiah said “last years draft was a stats draft. This years draft is a starters draft.”

If most of the league agrees then that pushes the few stars up higher than they’d go in a lot of drafts. I think that’s a big reason we see Tyler Warren mentioned in the top ten.

Man, I'd hate to lose some of our few draft assets but Lord would I LOVE Warren to be in horns. Insane weapon.

I have a hard time believing he falls but more I think about it, the more this draft may be an absolute crap shoot after the first 5-10 picks.
I just saw McShays top 32 and he had McMillan, Ebuka, and Higgins all going in the mid to late 20's. He also had Dart and Shough going around 29 & 30.

So seems like many of these draftniks have these guys going all over the place in rd 1. There seems to be little consensus.

He's also the 2nd guy I saw project Hampton to the Bears at 10.

I'm not a big fan of drafting TEs very high unless they are obviously unworldly good. TE is one if not the hardest to translate from college to the pros. Think it would be a mistake to trade up just to get one. I would moreso understand if one fell to them though. Still think we could better fill the roster without going TE in the 1st round.

Yeah, I still have flashbacks to the drafting of Joe Klopenstein in rd 2 and more recently Everett. Everett at least contributed. Klop was a complete bust.

Shough 30th? I know McShay loves him but 30th?

I do think we need to be prepared for the Rams to take one of those QBs potentially. It's not likely but I'd imagine there's a way the first round could fall to where they take one of them at 26. It would be a reach, but late first can happen for QBs who slot into that round 2 to even 3 range if it's a weak class and you want that extra year of team control.

His thought process was that Slough might be the best candidate among all rookies to step in for a 3 game stretch as a back up and win a game or two. On top of that he thinks he could develop into a good starter which would make a QB prospect worth a first rd pick.

He talks about the WR's at the 28:00 min mark then Shough at the 34:00 min mark.

He drones on and on about the Bears for the first half of the video for some reason. So jump to the 26-27 min mark and beyond.
