3rd this and a 6th next hahaI was against this a few days ago but our picks might be top 5 each round. I'd give a third for one of them.

I'd do it lol. A high first and a high second is plenty of draft resource. We could spare that third. I have a feeling the Rams won't though.3rd this and a 6th next haha
Same shit they said about Greg. Robinson. I hate the upside crap and will take the one that actually produces more.If I had to pick between the two, I'd take the shot on Young. He has higher upside and is younger. I'd also expect him to be cheaper.
Greg Robinson sucked on the field. Chase Young won Defensive Rookie of the Year and is on pace for 10+ sacks this year. Bad comparison.Same shit they said about Greg. Robinson. I hate the upside crap and will take the one that actually produces more.
Too rich for my blood. And with Stafford now injured, I don't see us doing any buying. As said elsewhere, if Leonard Williams is worth a 2nd rounder +, I cant see Sweat or Young going for less
My fault for not doing so, but let me clarify furtherGreg Robinson sucked on the field. Chase Young won Defensive Rookie of the Year and is on pace for 10+ sacks this year. Bad comparison.
Young won rookie of the year, suffered a season-ending injury halfway through his second year, missed almost his entire third year because of that injury, and is now on pace for 10+ sacks in his fourth year. So I disagree with your characterization. He's playing good football now. The reason potential is relevant is because he's still young, he was seen as a potential generational pass rusher as a prospect, and is finally starting to come into his own after an injury derailed his second and third year.My fault for not doing so, but let me clarify further
....Young won rookie of the year and hasn't done anything since. Everything with him is based on potential. I hate that word being used and I base that all on Greg Robinson because that's why we drafted him so high. Not trying to compare their actual careers.
So Sweat had twice as many games played and you are comparing his totals to Young’s?Sweat has more tackles, more tackles for loss, more forced fumbles, more sacks & more QB hits. Basically every measurable stat.
But due to some made up stat by PFF, it outweighs all of that? To the extent that he's much better?
Young was a beast in his rookie year, his 2nd year he was trash before he got hurt.
I cant say I've seen a lot of Washington play, but what I have seen Sweat looks like the better player
Trust me, I get your line of thinking and wouldn't br totally against trading for Young. I personally just feel jaded about "potential". I'd rather have the sure thing in Sweat and 27 isn't old for an edge at all. He's also outplayed Young IMO not just this year but career wise. I do agree with you that a trade is unlikely though. Think the Rams continue towards not spending this year.Young won rookie of the year, suffered a season-ending injury halfway through his second year, missed almost his entire third year because of that injury, and is now on pace for 10+ sacks in his fourth year. Is it a risk? Sure. But he's already rushing the passer at a relatively high level. So there's not as much risk as it appears. Regardless, after the Dallas game, I doubt Young is an option for us. But he's a guy I'd love to have on this squad. I think his best football is ahead of him.
Trust me, I get your line of thinking.
I'm curious now....was it lava, fire, or some other nefarious combustible item?Don't trust him @jrry32!!!!
I did once, and got burned. Still have not recovered.
Well, it was not your sarcastic wit ... that's for certain.I'm curious now....was it lava, fire, or some other nefarious combustible item?
You were burned that bad huh? Gonna have to watch myself around @jrry32Well, it was not your sarcastic wit ... that's for certain.
The reason I favor Young over Sweat is price. I think there is a better chance we can buy low on Young than Sweat. If the price is the same, it's almost certainly too rich for us. I wouldn't give up a second for either.Trust me, I get your line of thinking and wouldn't br totally against trading for Young. I personally just feel jaded about "potential". The Seahawks trade for Williams may mess it up if the Commodes think either player is just as good. I personally wouldn't worry about price (only draft compensation wise I would) since our CAP is going up next year and chasing an edge in FA could be much more expensive at that time. The reason I favor Young over Sweat is price. I'm talking about draft compensation. I'm not worried about the contract. The Seahawks trade for Williams may mess it up if the Commodes think either player is just as good. He played one more game. I’m referring to this seasonSo Sweat had twice as many games played and you are comparing his totals to Young’s?
