Carr's future to be realized in the next week. (I still think he gets cut)

He could, and that would be just as good for him picking his next team.
Of course. Its a much better situation for Carr. He should make it as difficult as possible for them to execute a trade. On an open market he'll garner a heck of a lot more guaranteed $$ than the 40 mill on his Vegas deal

I got to say, this is a very interesting and entertaining thread.

I'm not sure who the OP was but ... Well Done! I wouldn't be surprised if he was a good-looking guy.

My take is it is a sellers market by a longshot. Carr should have 3-5 suitors at a minimum. There are 14+ teams that need a QB and only 3-4 1st rounders, and I am not sure I want several of those over Carr. A lot of turmoil with the Raiders if I was them I would trade him vs cut him he is easy worth a 1st rounder imo especially with a dearth of competent #1 QBs. Problem is, now what for the Raiders they become one of those QB less teams. So even though they will get a good draft pick where do they go. Rodgers GB would be stuck with a huge dead cap and Rodgers probably doesn't want to go to Vegas. If it was Rams or SF I would say sure he would do it. Raiders are not a bonafide playoff team. The only caveat is his relationship he has with Adams. BTW I really like Raiders with Waller, Renfrow, Adams, Jacobs but that division is a killer.
Yeah, the end of the half INT he threw to Earnest Jones summed him up perfectly. He will never win big unless he ends up on a stacked team that can run the ball down the opponents throat.

I'm sure this wont be a popular take, but if the Saints got Carr and released Winston, I wouldnt mind seeing McVay get his hands on him as a QB2

He'll sign for more than we put into QB2 IMO there are a lot of desperate teams.

Maybe if they just swapped QB's like the Rams and Lions did. Winston might play well with the Raiders and visa versa.

I dont know about that. Washing out with 2nd team. Sure the Rams dont pay QB2, but if they did, I imagine he'd be on the low side. We'll see
