I'll give you a Clue The players I have left, I have ranked at #'s 24-36-39-42-44-48-49- and 50 it's only 8 because I forgot to check off one player, and did realize it until I checked this for you!!(y):D

I've got someone in my top 20 left, so I'm a happy bunny..

Damnit I was hoping you guys forgot about him. Solid pick. Though I consider him a better guard. Good value pick at this stage of the draft.
I was keeping quiet about him too - I saw him lining up next to Long, Ideally I would have liked to have moved Long back inside where he's pro-bowl calibre, but he handled playing OT well if not...

I still feel like crap and I'm going back to bed for a nap (probably about an hour) but before I do I thought I'd share some of my thoughts about having a mock here at the ROD.

There are many mockers here who have been upset about the delays caused by GMs not voting in what they consider to be a timely fashion.

There are many mockers here who have been lobbying for multiple and'or earlier mocks.

I understand the frustration that all us type A personalities are experiencing. But, put down those hash pipes and put away that mortar and pestle you use to grind your peyote buttons and move to the real world. There are some questions you need to answer before you continue down that path.

How many times have I voted for a GM?

How hard was it to even get 32 RODites to participate?

We celebrate the fact that we have members from all over the world. How do you accommodate those members without making them feel like 2nd class members?

I set this mock up to be something that all members who wanted to participate could enjoy without feeling like they needed to reorder their lives in order not to feel like they were under pressure to make a pick immediately when they get put on the clock. As a result, we have a 12 hour window to pick in. We have a down time between 2400 -0700 so as to not penalize those who are actually able to sleep at night and to accommodate the different time zones. Is it fair that someone's pick period should largely consist of time when they would normally be sleeping? Is it fair to a GM that most of his allotted time is during his normal sleep hours while others have time periods consisting of normal waking hours? These are things I think you should think about next year when you're thinking about setting up a mock.

Think about the realities on the ground before you get yourself in a tizzy about how long this or that is taking. My advice is to concentrate on the good parts, of which there are many.

While EVERYONE has been great so far, I'd also like to single out @DaveFan'51 for his constant upbeat attitude and support for his fellow GM's picks. He hasn't been in love with everyone of them but that just makes you value the good stuff he says about your picks even more because you know he's being honest. IMO he has greatly increased the enjoyment of this mock for everyone. Thanks Dave! (y):grouphug:

Having been one of the GMs that held things up - I apologise wholeheartedly, I've not been ill in bed for 4 days before and it was a bummer, sometimes things happen, and I for one believe this one is moving along swimmingly and we've ironed out a lot of issues form previous years - @Alan you're doing another sterling job of running and maintaining the board as usual. I'm looking forward to seeing the fully technicolour Rounds all complete, you know I'm a sucker for colour coding :)

We're doing great jobs guys, we don't have the luxury of having staff, scouts, etc - we're doing this all alone, in different cities / countries / continents / time zones - we should applaud one another. Now if the NFL want to fly us to a hotel for a week, I recon we could get it done in a few days - who wants to pitch it to Goodell?

My biggest problem with the delays is how avoidable some of them are. Quite a few times I've seen posters come on when they're on the clock or on deck, and then leave for the next 5-12 hours. There's really no reason for that. I get that we all have things going on in our lives and we're in different time zones and all that, but if you can get on around the time you're on the clock and you can see that you're up, there's no reason for it to then take 12 hours for your pick. You should be able to make it pretty quickly from that point.

However, I will say this is going awesome and any slight delay is a minor inconvenience. I'm enjoying this a ton
