I'm not speaking from blind emotion here.
If it were possible, I would trade Ramsey (while some teams still think he's a great player) for a good decent CB and two 2nd round picks. I'd do it instantly too. That money can be spent better elsewhere. He's not making plays .... of any kind!

With as much money as we have in him, and as much worship as he gets, I should be asking for the last 5 game changing plays ..... however ..... Someone please remind me of the last game changing play he's made for us?

He broke up what would have been a TD in the Super bowl and forced the Bengals into a FG in the first half.

Why on God's green earth would you take an elite man coverage CB and make him play zone/"star", negating the "Revis Island effect" he can have on a defense???

The Chargers would gladly give us a 1st and a 5th for him. Frankly, we keep him or Morris. It was apparent last year but it's glaringly obvious now.

Plus we could use a first round pick to trade down for a 2nd and a 3rd to get some interior OL help.

This top heavy team could sink quickly if something isn't done soon.

(Sorry, I thought I got it all out in the vent thread.)

I don't think we see a game like this from Ramsey the rest of the year.

Rod Woodson or Deion Sanders he is not. But he is still more than capable of handling what the Rams ask of him.

I've never seen him that bad. It's a concern for sure. He was BBQ'd out there.

Two potential positives though are that he shouldn't have been on a fucking island vs Diggs in the first place. Those top receivers are going to eat his ass one on one. The days of him erasing any wideout are in the past for him and Raheem is responsible for proper usage of his corners schematically speaking. Also he has a lot of pride so you can bet 5 is pissed off and gonna do the work to round himself into better shape out there.

He's going to be one angry nasty MFer vs Atlanta, would not want to go up against him in this next game.

Ramsey asked for it. He mentioned being frustrated not being involved. And jourdan Rodrigue mentioned that this may have been some of the issue with him in Jacksonville.

Quite frankly, they need to just go back to him 1v1 erasing the #1. Quit moving him around doing this STAR shit. Let him just man up, and play ball.

Agree with the safety help, where the hell are our safeties half the time?

I never know what our safeties are doing without all22 so not sure. But my guess is that Scott had himself a solid game. They had Rapp back there with him on some of the plays at least, not exactly the best pairing IMO but maybe the snap totals will be enlightening for us there. Or if someone can endure rewatching that shit show more power to them. :laugh3:

Last year the cracks were showing for Jalen though. He was pulling and grabbing like a MFer vs the best matchups. The staff needs to adjust and they need to fucking play the right guys. I was patient seeing Long on the depth chart and hearing all the players talking him up and figured great maybe he is making a move this year but he's the same JAG corner he's always been. Good thing is a result like this will spur the staff to make required adjustments. This is the kind of game where dudes can lose their jobs/roles after the staff does their film review.

It’s the star position. He made wow plays from it all year, but I still thing he’s better just manning up and sticking with the #1. Every corner gets beat, and Diggs is top 5 route runner. It happens. I wouldn’t jump to any conclusions when the entire team minus maybe 3 guys played like shit
He gave up a perfect passer rating when targeted last night.

Ponder that...

I agree. Just let him focus on covering the opposing team #1 receiver. I don't know how good he is at the other positions anyway.

-We need offensive line help
-We may need a safety as I believe Landon Collins just sitting there rt?

I'm not ready to jump on Morris yet he proved a lot of us wrong last year however that said my gripe has always been the usuage of Jalen. It's not doing Jram any favors unless he truly lost it that just can't be he not even 30.

The irony is we ditched Peters because he wasn't "good" man on man if I recall correctly we get Ramsey and most times he is being used as a zone type cb.
So that's been annoying seems last year when we switched him back andi mxed him in the star role is when the defense took off especially when Von came on.
I won't past with 10 days of hear the Rams are awful and mismanaged their cap.......As if the chip never existed.

IT'S RAHEEM'S SOFT ZONE NOT RAMSEY. WE SAW THIS LAST YEAR OR HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN? THEY STARTED ROCHELL LAST YEAR BECAUSE LONG'S TECHNIQUE WHEN IN MAN COVERAGE SUCKS. iT WAS A SOFT QUARTERS OR COVER ZERO? WTF?? MORRIS HAS REGRESSED TO HIS ULTRA CONSERVATIVE WAYS. HE PLAYED LONG AND HILL BECAUSE THEY ARE HIS BUDDIES NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE THE BEST.

IF MORRIS IS GOING TO RETURN TO HIS SOFT ZONE ROOTS THEN HE'S GOT TO GO. HE APPARENTLY LEARNED NOTHING FROM LAST YEAR.

Give him a chance to adjust to the Falcons. He's still a top 5 all around DB.

Soon the CB market is going to change to match the WRs once the top guys are up for new deals, so his deal is about top 10 if the market is changed today.

Last year Jalen was 3rd in TFL'S (Star position stat) 9
First by a long shot in passes defensed 16
and tied for first INT's 4

Nah I think he should stick around

Bigger concern to me is 4 of his last 5 games he's been BBQ'd. I think his confidence is shot right now. Is his skill declining? Is Morris using him wrong? But man just look back to the playoff run last year and now this game it's not a good trend at all.

Ramsey completely eliminated many star WRs last year. You people are way over-reacting. At one point his stats were almost unbelievably good. I forget the graphics that were circulating online last year, but he had a stretch of several games giving up almost nothing vs. big-name WRs. If he keeps this form up for several games, sure, we can start to worry if he is declining. Game 1? With no pre-season? Hardly time to panic.

He is admittedly a bigger corner. Smaller, shifty WRs might be harder for him to keep up with 1 on 1 in short space when he is playing in the slot and/or closer to the line of scrimmage in a STAR position. Diggs fits that bill. In exchange, we have someone that can match up with bigger WRs extremely well (remember his complete erasure of DK Metcalfe? Who I do admit, is not quite on Diggs' level, but he is quite talented), and who is an incredible tackler and run supporter. I take that trade every time. Smaller CBs are easier to find.

He does get beat deep too often for a top tier CB. Not sure what is up with that. And often times he has been bailed out as a Ram, either by penalty (remember the opener vs. Dallas when he sold OPI masterfully?) or the QB simply failing to connect with his WR. That's been going on since he arrived and I don't quite have an explanation for it. And it is irksome to pay a CB that much money, rely on him as a stud (which he is), and to still see those deep shots burn him as much as they do.

Still, at the end of the day, it's an offensive league. Every CB is gonna get torched sometimes. Ramsey is the least of my concerns.

In the last 4 games, Ramsey has given up 3 tds of 50 or more yards. I know the face mask in the SB was not his fault but the rest are on him.
