I hope you’re right.Rooting for Forbes to push for playing time ans make a statement this year. Working throughout the off season to learn the system is a great start. Speed and ball skills make him well worth the risk and I think he will get real opportunities to not just make the team but rack up plenty of playing time.
Both KW and Spoon are at that plateau around the 30 year old mark. The Rams need a youthful set of heirs to the starting jobs.
Kendrick and Durant enter year four—contract years. The idea they both would be extended seems unlikely. Kendrick is definitely in a prove it year after missing last season and failing to win a starting job or at least end up as CB3 would not justify a big offer to stay. Durant took advantage of Kendrick’s absence last year and played some good ball, but has he done enough? This is obviously a big year for him as well.
This is a golden opportunity for Forbes, Durant, and Kendrick. I just don’t see KW and Spoon returning as the starting CBs in 2025. The advantage Forbes has is he will still be under contract after this year. Kendrick and Durant will not.
