Rooting for Forbes to push for playing time ans make a statement this year. Working throughout the off season to learn the system is a great start. Speed and ball skills make him well worth the risk and I think he will get real opportunities to not just make the team but rack up plenty of playing time.
I hope you’re right.
Both KW and Spoon are at that plateau around the 30 year old mark. The Rams need a youthful set of heirs to the starting jobs.

Kendrick and Durant enter year four—contract years. The idea they both would be extended seems unlikely. Kendrick is definitely in a prove it year after missing last season and failing to win a starting job or at least end up as CB3 would not justify a big offer to stay. Durant took advantage of Kendrick’s absence last year and played some good ball, but has he done enough? This is obviously a big year for him as well.

This is a golden opportunity for Forbes, Durant, and Kendrick. I just don’t see KW and Spoon returning as the starting CBs in 2025. The advantage Forbes has is he will still be under contract after this year. Kendrick and Durant will not.

Forbes looks bigger, and he's entering his third year. The talent is there. I'm looking for info on him during camp more than any other player on the roster.

I was a huge fan of his in college. His coverage skills and ball skills were undeniable; he still holds the record for most pick-sixes in SEC history (and possibly FBS history as well; I haven't checked recently). Absolute lockdown corner at his best.

If we hit on him, we've solved our secondary. Period. So, I'm hoping we've made another great decision.

I guess I need to check it out.Love your passion for players.I’ll just go with what I see & hear about Forbes as a Ram.

First The Biggest & most underrated player(one of) is Ahkello Whiterspoon.SO what everyone wants to talk about Jalen Ramsey IMO Whiterspoon when given the chance has succeeded & gotten better.

I’ll continue to say & THE FACTS(Oldschool) are what they are.We can ALL have our opinions which I respect most. The thing is when you see RAM PLAYERS EARN there spot The FRONT OFFICE(Mcvay) has to know there Value!!

Point being not looking up Shelton & Whiterspoon(2 & 3 years ago.IMO with the way The Rams have giving Alaric Jackson his opportunity is the reward of sticking with this type players and they have ALL BOUGHT into Sean Mcvays system.

Just saying Sean Mcvay & The Rams have learned from this & The Rams IMO are in a better place.I don’t know who notices this.(I can get deeper).

My point is Ahkello wore #23 when he first became a Ram 2(3) training camps ago.He has since went from #44 to #4.when can look up those numbers from the past.

Whiterspoon wasn’t brought back for training camp & this is his FIRST OTA’s as a RAM !! Mcvay talks about how excited he is to see how good that CB group can do with him in OTA’s

This is also Forbes first OTA’s with The Rams and having Ahkello as a mentor will only help this group.Plus having Forbes as well should only help his growth & understanding of the defense.

The concern is all the Free Agents in the group next season. This season looks good & that is what you want with players.Being able to play for there (family) NFL Life’s.

Hmm i dunno, I'm looking at his highlights & see a kid who tackles just fine.
i guess time will tell.
Forbes? Did you watch the Rams/Seattle game at the end of the season. He didn’t look like he wanted to tackle in that game. Maybe it was rust, but it came across a bit like avoidance. It stands to reason that a slender guy wouldn’t be a physical tackler at the NFL level. Physicality at corner has always been a Quinn trait.

I know there is a certain amount of technique involved but to me the biggest part of tackling is like fighting it boils down to the want to.

At least its not like they have a lot invested in him. If he doesn't work out its easy to move on. Nothing to lose. If he does work out, then great.

If you're a first round pick you have talent. He was pretty skinny coming out of college listed at 166. Depth chart has him at 180 now so he's getting bigger. At six foot tall he's got a little more room to bulk up. As long as it doesn't affect his agility and speed. I like the idea of claiming a guy like him. No risk.
