If he doesn't show out in TC he will be cut. JMO he will be on a short leash.
Maybe but it will cost the Rams cap space.

When they put in a Waiver Claim to get Forbes, they inherited his fully guaranteed 1st round rookie contract.

He carries a reasonable $2.1M cap hit in 2025 but, if he is cut, that number climbs to $5M in Dead-$.

Is it likely Forbes can’t at least carve out a backup role over one of the UDFA’s on the roster? I’d guess his coverage skill are better than the one of the depth guys.

Who keeps changing "Comman-ders" to "Commodes"? :)
I know damn well the writer of these articles isn't doing it, so fess up! :)

Edit; it's some kind of Autobot. Every time I write Comman-ders it comes out Commodes.

That's some rough treatment.

It was a scheme issue in Washington..plus the new regime didn't draft him. His tape was actually decent in Washington when he did see the field.... in terms of making plays on the ball....and his speed and height are an asset as well....

I'd bet on Forbes

I live in Commodes Country. Fans are easily the biggest homers in the NFL. So I’m 100% in favor of the Autobot.

Color me optimistic. I think if the Rams can get 75% of the player we see in this Highlite reel then the Rams secondary is going to be much improved. I see that he was more than willing to stick his shoulder into ball carriers in the running game and to wrap up receivers fundamentally once they made a catch. And, considering he did this in the SEC, you know he has the tools and experience.
I can only think he is the type of player that needed time to adjust to the NFL. Also have to think the Commodes and their coaching staff was not a good match.
I expect him to compete for CB2, playing opposite of Witherspoon. Hopefully he works his way up to an average of 30 snaps a game, or somewhere around 50% of all defensive snaps.

My favorite play is at the 3:14 mark. He fights through a block by a stronger player (receiver) and tackles the screen play for a 3 yard loss. It showed anticipation, fierceness, strength, and follow through on the tackle.

I got them to auto change the Chargers to the Squatters once. But for some reason they backed out of the deal.

Never skip leg day, Emmanuel.

No calf muscles... but he has talent

That’s actually BS in less The Rams photo shop there workouts.

From what I saw his calves are YOlKED !! Had to do a double take & blow the photo up. He’s just lanky. A player like Forbes doesn’t get drafted in the 1st Rd with out being somewhat a specimen.

I guess I’m to lazy to look up his 40,either way he has good size & for the price good depth. We as Rams fans were spoiled at UCI training camp. It’s not the same now.Still better than the Chargers were. Not sure moving forward,I think it was a blessing for OC NFL Fans. Now LA is going to be where it’s at in the future.

It’s our profanity filter. We can’t just be a bunch of potty mouths.

Rooting for Forbes to push for playing time ans make a statement this year. Working throughout the off season to learn the system is a great start. Speed and ball skills make him well worth the risk and I think he will get real opportunities to not just make the team but rack up plenty of playing time.

I was a huge fan of his in college. His coverage skills and ball skills were undeniable; he still holds the record for most pick-sixes in SEC history (and possibly FBS history as well; I haven't checked recently). Absolute lockdown corner at his best.

If we hit on him, we've solved our secondary. Period. So, I'm hoping we've made another great decision.
