SIZE does matter.I like BB as well, but it’s all about what his value is ???

IMO Whiterspoon is going to get resigned to a nice contract. He showed his worth & Mcvay owes him.
Would love for them to cut DWill and sign Akhello.

And not to mention LA's doctors helped him with his blood clot issues, if I'm not mistaken.

A-Jax had every reason to go on the market. He was the top left tackle there. He took a lot less than he could've gotten on a three-year deal, so I do believe it was his decision, and I also believe it was because he liked the team, how they've treated him, and the direction they're going in.
I think it is a good deal for both sides.
The 3 year deal mean he is a FA again at 29 years old....in his prime for an OL.
He could looking at a huge contract at that time.
So, a good deal.
Helps the team and allows him to play for a bigger payday in three years.

Why? The issue here isn't that we lack money. It's that Kupp is getting paid too much for the player he is now.

I don't disagree but he clearly does not see it that way. He said in his original tweet that he's the healthiest he's ever been.

And it probably feels pretty rough to see us bringing back just about everyone on offense except him

Cutting Williams results in $5.3M of Dead-$, with $3.8M of cap relief.

Just cut Kendrick instead. The cap savings is about as much, with almost zero Dead-$.

At least Darious Williams can still play some. Kendrick never could play.

I'm cutting but honestly. Thought DJ was a FA.

He can’t stay healthy. That’s the issue.

Small, overpaid by a lot, and weak in coverage and misses easy tackles in run support b

He's small, no doubt.

He's not what he was last year in coverage but was the best corner we had, superior to Witherspoon who you ostensibly want to cut him for. Guy can still play as below:

He's not great in run support but not horrific and he's WILLING.

We have problems on this D other than DWill. We need to keep him and get a draft pick at the other corner spot (Jourdan intimated that Rams won't pay for one in FA (doesn't mean that they won't pay for a depth piece).

Also, I'm hoping for a slight increase in play next year as CB play is the highest variance play/position year to year (2023 he was a top 10 CB) and that hamstring injury probably was never fully healed all year.

Williams wasn't bad last year but he wasn't good either. The problem with bringing up 2023 is that that was 2 years ago. CB is one of the positions very susceptible to age. It can drop off fast and Williams will be 32 in two weeks.

This I agree with. He also looses his temper, and gets penalties on him a lot!

That's a great deal. Getting a young, quality LT to forego FA for less than $20m per year is a phenomenal deal.
This is a great contract for both parties because it’s only 3 years. AJ still has another big payday ahead if he lives up to this one.

IMO - I’ve been SCREAMING about how The Rams messed up & could’ve gotten this deal done last season at even a little better price.

That said this is what I was talking about doing & it was important for both parties. It ACTUALLY works out better, because Avila,Dotson, & J Jackson contracts are all due at once.( 2 years)

This deal goes beyond Mattew Stafford,so he is THE CORE upfront. He & Limmer the next 3 years.

This makes trading JOHNA JACKSON sort of important ? Then again gives The Rams time to DEVELOP a new group.

Does this mean BB111 is next ?

He'll get paid...by someone else. But he will get paid a lot, more than we're willing to give. Twenty-four years old, big nose tackle, solid run-stuffer with the hint of something more?

Yeah, he'll get paid. It just won't be by us.

We lost our possible next GM to Jax w/o comp.

At least he should bring comp picks. That draft class ended up being pretty weak though for The Rams. The Rams 2022 draft wasn’t all that bad considering though.

Most of them are still playing in The NFL & were the rookie class to help win a Superbowl.

What happens with Tutu Atwell ? What’s he going to cost The Rams imo he comes back ?
