Just that. Maybe I whisper to myself, don’t know. Maybe nothing. Probably nothing. Hopefully nothing. but if they bring Whitworth out of retirement, I will officially think it’s something. What whispers may I ask?
I know he's had recent surgery but I hadn't heard anything that seemed "troubling"
Yeah, I deleted that post because the following post mentioned that Jourdan Rodrigue expressed some concern. Maybe she did whisper it.Just that. Maybe I whisper to myself, don’t know. Maybe nothing. Nah not knee jerk, just the truth. Don't be sensitive now lol......I guarantee you that if we knew he was our starter, we'd all be heavily concerned....hence the term JAG. To me, if you aren't a starter, that's what you are labeled as you can be easily replaced. I'll add that once again, I get it from a depth perspective. Every signing not going to be a starter. The term 'JAG' is a knee jerk, overrated and likely from most who have never played any competitive sports and any competitive level comment. SOLID signing in this part of the off season.
Just saw this. Very meh signing honestly as I think he's literally a JAG. I get it depth wise, but we had to get depth there and that's what he is.
I’m glad the Rams agreed. This likely means they weren’t too enthusiastic about the tackle depth either.Humphries is a very interesting signing; and hopefully, not a sign of an early-health issue for Havenstein.
A former first round pick, Humphries (31) has started every game he has played in the NFL. He was named to the Pro-Bowl in 2021 but has missed a ton of games in recent seasons. However, he was good NFL OT.
For several months, many of us have raised OT-depth as an issue, with only McClendon behind the starters (Alaric Jackson and Rob Havenstein), and McClendon seeming more like a RT-only option.
The signing of David Quessenberry seemed like a positive depth addition. Humphries seems to be an even better depth addition ... provided THAT is all the signing represents.
In a recent podcast interview Jourdan Rodrigue (who is fairly well locked-in) expressed real concern about Havenstein's shoulders (off-season clean-up surgeries) and his ability to hold-up for a full season.
If Humphries is here to provide additional depth and insurance ... GREAT!
If the two recent veteran OT signings represent more of a genuine concern that Havenstein's health may be compromised ... that Ain't So Good.
She did a podcast interview that was copied into a thread about a week ago; and mentioned her concern regarding Havenstein. I will try to find it and copy you and @Flipper.Yeah, I deleted that post because the following post mentioned that Jourdan Rodrigue expressed some concern. Maybe she did whisper it.![]()
Agree that Humphries is viewed superior than Quessenberry. Regardless, I'd hate for either to be a starter for an extended period of time. Too bad we don't have a good developmental backup but it is what it is. Thats why for me, its a meh signing. As usual for any signing or addition I'm not wild about, I'd be more than happy to be proven wrong lolDoes this mean they preferred Humphries over Quessenberrt?
It likely means that the Rams think this JAG is better than what they already had for depth at OT. So that makes it a good signing imo.

Yes, you’ve said it. But it is poor logic. The signing isn’t in relation to anything other than what is available either on the roster or on the street. humphries has a long track record and will not be afraid. If he is healthy, he is a massive upgrade. It is a very good signing and you have already been proven wrong. But I am sure you will say it 5 more times to soothe yourself, so that will be insightful, im sure, heh.Agree that Humphries is viewed superior than Quessenberry. Lmao, I've already been proven wrong? Humpheries was AZ's LT for a long ass time and sucked ass imoYes, you’ve said it. But it is poor logic. My JAG tingle might be the clap! ~ @El Chapo JrLmao, I've already been proven wrong? Humpheries was AZ's LT for a long ass time and sucked ass imo.....now I'll give it time but calm down now buddy, neither you nor I are wrong yet but there's plenty of time for that lol
I know, it is like talking to a woman at this point, but I’ll try. See, if you don’t understand that he was signed as an upgrade over AJ Acuri, you are really showing something. Not good. And if you don’t think a seasoned pro is a massive upgrade to Acuri, you are really showing something. Also not good. So which is it?Lmao, I've already been proven wrong? Wow so we move to the insults of talking to a woman? You are easy to ruffle huh lol. Apparently you don't read when I said I get it as a depth signing which is basically saying I'm on board with him replacing any of our backups. I called it a meh signing because as a whole, we are in deep shit if any of these backups play at all. For me, I just don't see it moving the needle much overall as a team besides slightly improving our depth. If you can't understand that, I can't help you. By the way, we just had a seasoned pro named Noteboom so seasoned pro means nothing. Don't be all butt hurt now because I don't agree with your opinion. Disagreements happen all the time, only insecure folks get up in their feelings about it. I'm ok if I end up being wrong but you seem to want to win some weird argument. How bout we do what grown people should do, say we disagree and move on.I know, it is like talking to a woman at this point, but I’ll try.
