I don’t see how they don’t.

I’m honestly shocked that Wilson was still their #2.

Wilson is terrible.
I’d be pissed if I were a Jets player and they stayed with him.
Well, I get the idea that they wanted to groom him behind Rodgers and see if he's salvageable in two years (even though that seemed like a long shot)...

The other thing... Hackett is their OC. Oooophf, fine if it's Rodgers cause he's kinda your OC but not gonna be that creative on offense with anyone else.

I think Colt McCoy makes the most sense.

Good or Bad ... Right or Wrong ... I think the Jets stick with Wilson at QB.

The Name-Guys out there, including the ones you mentioned, plus QBS like Foles, Flacco and Newton are either done or have too big a name in my opinion. New York Media is stupid-tough. New York fans are stupid-insane. The first three-and-out or bad turnover, they will be screaming for one of these Names.

McCoy is a good veteran career-back-up; and his skill set includes a little mobility that is similar to Wilson. The Jets could probably run the same plays with McCoy, if Wilson went down, or was so bad that he needed to be benched.
Word in AZ is that the reason McCoy was cut was b/c he can't push the ball downfield at all. Whether it's age or an injury IDK but if I were them I wouldn't want to go that way.

If true, that would certainly be relevant. However, I also think the Jets will try to win with Defense, running the ball and Special Teams; while minimizing turnovers. That’s why some options being discussed, don’t seem like a good fit to me.

If the Jets dont make the playoffs this year, its sayonara for Saleh
They cant win enough games scoring 13-19 points
I wonder if Miami would trade Mike White to them. I know its inter division and all that, but I heard he didnt do well at all down there in PS and they like Skylar Thompson

I have not watched any of these talking heads on ESPN for 10 or 15 years. I don't even get ESPN anymore is not worth the money.
The only thing I keep it for is college football & Monday Night Football, however, I really don't watch for any other reason as what used to be their strength has now become their weakness.

When the link is available I'll post this idiocrasy, but some fool on Get Up is saying the best option for the Jets is to trade for Matt Stafford now. He actually thinks we would consider taking picks and tanking for Caleb Williams, even after our week 1 victory :eyeroll:
BSPN is crap, they thought we were tanking which was idiotic. The cap implications of such a trade make it an idiotic suggestion.

Summary? BSPN is idiotic.

At least having a veteran to back up McCoy and help to keep coaching him would be worth it.
Trading for Winston would be the play, has the highest ceiling IMO and wont hurt the cap
If he got back to throwing picks NYJ fans would be sending him death threats.

Interesting. I didn’t hear that before but maybe it’s why McVay didn’t take his own advice and sign him as a backup. What’s funny about that thought though is that neither of the Rams backups the last few years, could do that either.

How far Carson Wentz has fallen to not be the obvious answer to the Jets’ problem?

Are there any mobile QBs available that arent old? Anyone playing behind the Jets Oline will have to be mobile or even a runner. If it wasn’t a waste of Garrett Wilson’s talent, maybe they could coax the Bears to trade them Justin Fields :laugh1:.

If I was them I would sign Brady to a one year. He would do it because he knows what that defense means for a QB: glory.

And if Brady gets killed behind the OL even better. Win-win.

There’s no scenario in which I’d trade Stafford to them without demanding at least two of their young stars plus premium draft picks.

So, yeah…sorry…not happening.
10 1st rd picks, 5 2nd rd picks, Sauce Gardner, pass rusher of our choice, and Breece Hall....just maybe hahaha

I want five first round picks, seven second round picks, two fourths, their 2024th third round pick, Gardner, Joe Tippmann (their center of the future), and that wouldn't be enough.

I'm sorry, do they even think? We're in totally different situations. We just won a dominating performance against Seattle - without Kupp, by the by, and he'll be coming back after three more weeks, if the football gods smile down upon us - and we're riding a high into a home game against the 69ers. The Jets have no hope with Rodgers out for the rest of the year. On the bright side, they'll still have their first round pick, since Rodgers isn't playing 65% of the snaps.

I thought Matthew goddamn Stafford was too old and broken???
On the Rams he is, New York is magical though... until a player steps onto their turf at least. I also heard he's incapable of winning big games.
