Well, that article was before yesterday's game, I cant see how they keep putting Wilson out there.
Figure Tim Boyle is next man up
I wonder what Blake Bortles is doing these days, Hackett had some success with him back in the day

I know this is about QB options for the Jets but this topic came-up on Get Up today.
I get frustrated by INCOMPETENT talking heads. I'm OK with opinions that differ from mine but when these Fucking Arrogant Incompetents say something ... Stated as Facts ... that are just Not Accurate, I get pissed-off.

Greenberg asks a reasonable question ...
'Why didn't the Jets have a more competent veteran back-up QB behind Aaron Rodgers?' ...
Rex Ryan (an arrogant piece-of-shit ... My opinion / Not a fact) replied ...
'Because they didn't have the cap space to afford a good veteran back-up QB like Gardner Minshew'

AARGH!!! No homework! No thought!! No simple basic research!!!

Minshew signed a one-year / $3M contract. His 2023 cap hit is that $3M.

The Jets had plenty of cap space in the off-season and entering training camp. Hell Spotrac has them at $9M right now ... OTC has them at $8.2M. The Jets paid Dalvin Cook $7M in pre-season; and that's Cook's cap hit!

The Jets had the cap space Shit Head! They chose not to bring-in a veteran back-up for other reasons. Consider those reasons. Criticize or defend that strategy. Do some work; and Do Your Fucking Job!

OK ... I feel better now.

Love your post, I have been criticizing "Get Up" for weeks now so it's to nice see some other folks that see the same thing. I fucking hate Greenberg anymore and his guests are put into an impossible position trying to raise his spirits. Mike and Mike In The Morning used to be my favorite show and damn I wish Golic was still on the show. He would be Greeny non-stop shit every day, maybe that's why they split. Oh well, ESPN sucks ass and I have turned to FS1 for sports reporting nowadays.

I guess we are just partially in agreement.

Also loved Mike and Mike, especially Golic; and I miss the show.
However, I mostly do like Mike Greenberg; and, depending upon his panelists, his show.

Some of his regular panelists are beyond awful for me ... Rex Ryan, Mike Tannenbaum and Bart Scott.
Others I usually enjoy ... Clark, Orlovsky and Foxworth.

Don't watch much FS1 but convicted-felon Craig Carton is high on my list of Most Disliked Talking Heads.

I think they said they aren't interested in him right away.
Surprised they aren’t all up at arms not wanting to sign Colin Krapondick “ it’s the NFL conspiring against him!!”:eyeroll:

I stopped watching all these talking heads on ESPN and NFL Network years ago as a matter of fact it is one of the main reasons, I stopped paying for those channels. They both suck!

What - Wentz is a Tractor and Goff is a Trailer - you take those words back ~ states a former Rams on Demand poster

:)

It's funny whenever somebody is emphatic about this player is better than that player or that other player is a bust after a year. I always think back to stuff like the Wentz Goff debates around here or many of the other ones where we drafted the wrong guy or signed the wrong free agent, after a couple games.

Even after 2 years - there were debates between Goff and Wentz

And you know what - I miss that guy even though he was a pain at times

I was trying to remember his name too...

I'm one of a few here that also frequent a board with every teams fanbases and the debates were straight brutal over there.

Kaepernick apparently sent the Jets a letter asking for a job.

So did I. Practice squad pay is pretty good for 6 months work.

Neither of us has received an offer to date.
