I don’t see it. Stafford has 2 years left most likely. They are even more in win now mode. I expect them to make a couple of big moves this off-season to get offensive weapons and use the draft to fill whatever holes are left.
Why not they want a qb to learn from Stafford and sit like love and Rodgers did

If this is an "all in year," wasting a high pick on a project QB doesn't help us maximize Stafford THIS year.
I would agree if Verse, Turner, Puka, and their other top guys were in their late 20's. They aren't though. This teams window will be open as long as they have solid QB play. Thus you grab a QB when you can as it is the absolute top priority for this organization over the next several years. They have to fund a successor that can take over for Stafford and continue leading this team through this window.

So take a swing this year if someone you like is within reach to draft. That doesn't mean you can't draft another next year if circumstances change and you have a shot to get a better prospect in 26'. You can always trade a young QB with upside.

Dart and Milroe both going first
After the top 2 guys I would rank them as...
1. Dart
2. Slough
3. McCord
4. Ewers
5. Milroe

I just don't see Milroe ever being accurate enough to be a good starting NFL QB. To me he is a back up/gadget guy. He is Perkins with a better pedigree.

Now, not saying the other guys make it, but they have a shot to at least be a solid stop gap QB.

Perkins had a pop gun arm. Milroe has a rifle. I'd take a chance on him over most the QBs in this Draft.

Except if you have a chance to get a guy you feel can be a true franchise quarterback?

You go for it.

I think I'd slot Milroe in after Slough. But he's definitely ahead of Ewers, who doesn't look bold enough in that pocket and I doubt they can teach him that. And McCord is just limited physically in comparison; I'd take Milroe before I'd take either of those guys.

I'm starting to be convinced that Tyler Shough is the guy that McVay wants in this offense. But, I'm also starting to be convinced that he goes higher then most of us suspect.
I remember the Sam Bradford days. I'm not so keen on hitching our wagon to a guy who struggled to stay on the field in college.

That's what I'm thinking. Followed by..
Will Howard
Riley Leonard

All have warts.. Shough is the most pro-ready passer with the best arm of the three.

There's something about Rourke. But the knees.
God damn I didn’t know it was 2 torn ACL’s!

Seems like they fixed it after the first one came back as a partial tear reading up on it kinda like they had to do with OBJ’s.

Yeah kinda hesitant now as it state seven at 4 yrs old he was hesitant to get hit, and now after 2 ACL surgeries? He’s going to be fun shy affecting his play.

Riley Leonard? Are we going to play him at TE?

I like Rourke. He's accurate and reliable. But he's not very mobile.

Jorie Epstein made an interesting comment on Milroe. He needs so much work at actually being a QB, like a faster but not as good passer as Hurts who ended up working out (still can't really pass across the middle).

You say to Milroe, look, give me 10 plays a game at RB/gadget/weapon and we'll make sure we develop you at QB. Then outside that, you just sit him for 1 year or 2. Redo his entire throwing mechanics.

I think then you start looking at him end of first/top of second.

I get a sneaky feeling about Will Howard ending up in Horns.
