Ole Stl Today Bernie used to make all sorts of references to Bulger always having horrible looking bruises. Martz was king of the seven step and be a man deal.
Sounds realistic to me.McShay's 3rd Mock just out has us taking Jordyn Tyson at 13. Giants get Jeremiah Love at 5 and Ty Simpson doesn't get Drafted in 1st.
Sounds realistic to me.
If I had to put odds on who we will take the top two would be Tyson and Lemon. And I get why they would roll the dice on Tyson. Even if I wouldn't.
Man, I could really see McVay moving up for Simpson if he fell to the 2nd. I don't exactly endorse it as we lack picks this year, but, I think he is well worth it.McShay's 3rd Mock just out has us taking Jordyn Tyson at 13. Giants get Jeremiah Love at 5 and Ty Simpson doesn't get Drafted in 1st.
Honestly, the closer it gets to the draft, I'm starting to actually believe they might go with a OT in the 1st. The OT depth is terrible after the 1st round TBH. McVay knows what happens if one of our OT's get hurt, and its one of the biggest issues we could face. If AJ goes out, our offense suffers greatly as does Staffords body. I would not be excited by it, but would completely understand it. There will be better WR's at 61 then there will be OT'sSounds realistic to me.

Wouldn’t bother me a bit.Definite possibility an OT in the 1st. And possibly paired with a trade-down.
Agreed. And even one of those two OT>OG conversion types (Maui & Fano) could potentially try OT this year in the swing role then move to Avila's spot when he leaves in FA. Or they could take Ioane.Honestly, the closer it gets to the draft, I'm starting to actually believe they might go with a OT in the 1st. The OT depth is terrible after the 1st round TBH. They tend to try to to land a special talent when having a high pick. So could be any position really. And yeah, with a deep position a like WR they might wait on that position, unless they decide to, and are able to trade back.Me too. I'm starting to think it's not gonna be a WR. To me, the WR class is deep, and there really seems to no consensus for who the top 5 are at this point.
Sadiq is still in play...but I'm starting to think OL might be the play...possibly along with a trade back with Pittsburgh.
I feel like Fano should at least give it a try at LT. He's sure seems to have the feet for LT. Worse case, he can still back up all 4 other positions. I'm just not sure I'd take someone this high unless they had the ability to back up AJ, who I'm most concerned with going out. Hell, Proctor played LT and could easily back up RT and both OG's. And he's mammoth with great athletic traits.Agreed. And even one of those two OT>OG conversion types (Maui & Fano) could potentially try OT this year in the swing role then move to Avila's spot when he leaves in FA. Or they could take Ioane.
They just don't normally prioritize OL early.
I think if you want LT it's rough because you have one guy who projects there (Freeling) and a bunch of RT types or OG conversions. The Bama kid is huge, but he's probably a RT.
I still figure if an X type is there at 13 they will take a long look at him. There are others slated later, but those guys tend to get snapped up earlier than expected due to supply/demand. But yeah I have no real gut feeling on this, it feels wide open. And even worse is I don't think there's a lot of separation in the dudes listed in the teens and twenties. Feels like one big fucking bucket to me.
Yeah I think Proctor may be a little slept on. Just from that perspective of how damn big he is, and he's a fit for us as a swing option. I think he makes sense for the Rams if they are planning on allowing McClendon to walk in FA.I feel like Fano should at least give it a try at LT. He's sure seems to have the feet for LT. Dan Orlovsky today says Ty Simpson is best Quarterback in THIS class....

If that is true then it will affect the early order of round 1. Someone will move way up to take Simpson. Which is good for us, in that it might push a player the Rams really want down to a range they can move up for, or at the very least increase the likelihood of the player they want getting to them at 13.Ex GM Mike Tannenbaum says other teams share this opinion as well.
Or if Simpson falls to 13... maybe Les can swing another mega deal like he did with the Falcons last year.If that is true then it will affect the early order of round 1. Dude had absolutely no ability to pivot, his offense was what it was and he couldn't shift with changes in the NFL.There’s a reason after architecting the GSOT and winning with a “rookie” Warner that the guy can’t get a job as an offensive assistant in the league…
