Please understand I hold you in the highest respect!
His contract for next year is razor thin - they knew this was coming. This isn't anything that wasn't 100% expected.Fuck him. He wants to negotiate every off-season? Time to move on. I hate when players do this shit
Reading some of the comments from the Giants writers after today's presser by their GM at the Combine, I would be surprised if they pull the trigger on a trade. The closer you get to the draft and fall in love with some of these players, just hard to see not only the money aspect, but premium picks being sent away.It plants a seed. Makes the greedy agent think that some teams out there would pay it. It keeps them pushing for more.
Yeah, he would be in for a rude awakening, which is why I think if it came to needing a starter, it would be Jimmy G."Would bring Adams with him... as if he has a say"
Give him 51 million, ya cheap bastid!Over $50mil? That's a no for me, man.
Trade his ass
damn straight! ~ @El Chapo JrYeah, Just pay the fucking guy already!
Good observationI keep getting the feeling Stafford isn't coming back. McVay even references how he handled Goff who was ultimately traded. That to me is a bad sign.
I went back and re-watched the Goff comment (around the 53-54 minute mark), and I do not agree.I keep getting the feeling Stafford isn't coming back. McVay even references how he handled Goff who was ultimately traded. That to me is a bad sign.
Rodgers looks done. I am sure he would like to play for McVay but I'm not sure he can handle playing for McVay.Yeah, he would be in for a rude awakening, which is why I think if it came to needing a starter, it would be Jimmy G.
McVay also kept emphasizing how that communication can help lessen the blow if things don't workout. I pointed the Goff part out because McVay obviously regrets showing his appreciation to the player and human being Goff was during his time as a Ram prior to trading him. To me, it sure seems like he's doing that for Stafford now. I know it's a painful realization, myself included, for a lot of folks here to even consider there is a strong possibility Stafford is gone but it most definitely is. Unfortunately this is the shitty business side of the NFL which both McVay and Stafford seem to understand. McVay ultimately is saying these decisions are not personal and don't speak to the value to a player as a special human being.I went back and re-watched the Goff comment (around the 53-54 minute mark), and I do not agree.
McVay talked for a good 3-4 minutes about Stafford. It was positive and clear that, while things remained fluid and the outcome was uncertain, he praised Stafford and wants him back ... if possible.
The Goff comment was in reply to a compliment from Fitzpatrick about the 'transparency' of communication from McVay, and how it was a strength of his and appreciated by players. McVay's response to that compliment was the Goff reference and how he could have handeled things better in his communication with Goff (this is something McVay has spoken of in the past).
McVay's point in raising the Goff situation was that he wanted to learn and grow from past mistakes. However, I did not interpret that as specific to only when players are traded.
Look at you! Being all mature, showing perspective; and trying to talk me off-the-ledge. Thank You!McVay also kept emphasizing how that communication can help lessen the blow if things don't workout.
