Yes, that's true. Madden even called it a phantom sack.

But I don't think he did it out of fear of being hit, but because he thought he was getting sacked and the play was dead.
That's a good take on it.

I too, was excited when the Rams got Everett and don't disagree he was the best QB we'd had in a while. I do wish he'd thrown the ball away. This wouldn't even be a discussion today if he had.

This defense is going to be so fucking good. We are going to destroy QBs and I can't wait.
If Ford can offer us 20% more than Bobby B and the collective LBs can offer man than what we got last year - both I don't think will be hard - then this D with some help from CB (maybe Forbes is the guy) could find itself being elite.

I feel like the first two points are a definite... the CBs are the only question mark to me at this point and they seem to be trending up so far in camp.

I have only briefly looked over some of the camp reports thus far. I haven't noticed any comments on Willie Lamplkin, the 5-11" G/C. Has anyone noticed him who have attended camp? How has he looked? Just curious.

Nothing doing on him.

If anything, the most interesting report on a do everything guy has been Whittington doing some cornerback drills.

Well we already know Shelton can't handle Ford one on one. So there must have been some doubles going on in the interior if he was at Center.
So, this is going to get old this year......like every first down given up was Witherspoons fault for a year or so, even if the team was playing zone....every broken tackle or long run was Reeders fault even if he was on the other side of the field.....This year, every pressure or sack will be Sheltons fault no matter what.
This board always has a whipping boy or two....usually misplaced.
The Rams didn't pay Shelton $6 M a year to sit behind a guy on his low round rookie deal.
Shelton will be the starter unless he plays his way out of his starting role.....which he well could.
The reality is Limmer was solid. He wasn't great. He was a surprise being solid given where he was drafted and lack of experience. He deserves a lot of credit for what he accomplished.
Avila was injured and then below average for most of the season.
Dotson was injured and below average until the last quarter of the season or so.
The entire interior line has a lot to prove this year I think.

Yeah - it’s starting already, especially with no validation.
