Dramatic improvement for Winn this year, he looked decent under the circumstances.
They’re doing something right in developing QB, both he and Stetson look like different players from last time
I was shaking my head early in the Cleveland game, at his performance.
But then he sacked up and did quite well, for not having much practice or any real game time to speak of.
He's earned some respect in my book.

Not too surprising, never seemed to really get in favor.

I’m not surprised. He didn’t show anything last year and his sacks this summer were caused by Desjuan.

I wondered when Stewart was drafted that maybe he was to be groomed to play in Hoecht’s role. His smaller size could make him more movable around the line and much quicker. Putting Stewart on one of the edges with Young or Verse playing Hoecht’s role would give them a smaller frame to play contain against the run, which may not be ideal.

As for Jackson... I honestly thought Kier Thomas was a better option for us... Thomas is hurt now, but he'll ve back.

I could see us bringing Jackson back to practice squad if he clears waivers

A little disappointing, to be sure, but so long as they're using D-John in that Cheetah package, I can see why they did it.

He'll catch on with some other team. I just hope we don't regret it like with John Franklin-Myers.
These early cuts of drafted players are usually made to give a guy a better chance to sign elsewhere.

Jackson still needs a lot of work. His only pass rush move was to try to run around the tackle that’s blocking him. OT’s were just pushing him upfield and the QB would just step up in the pocket or run around the edge he failed to set. He was a project type when they drafted him and just needs a lot more work. Should clear waivers and be added to the practice squad.

He might end up on the PS. That’s where I had him going after that last preseason game. I can’t see teams falling over themselves to pick him up.
…then again, there’s gonna be someone at the meeting saying, “he was a Ram.”

Sucks for Kier Thomas though

Damn, he seems to improve each year and seemed like he had finally got to the point where he might actually make the roster and contribute. Feel bad for the guy.
