Oh yeah...right.

All hope is lost then.
These fringe guys, (guys we cut and were picked up) are often the first guys cut by the teams that pick them up when an injury happens and they have to pull someone from their own practice squad or another team's practice squad.
So some of those players will be available (possibly).

Yeah guys.
We should be celebrating. :)
Or they fucked up getting rid of good players and keeping shitty players over them

I am doing this for comedy effect. Please don't get worked up over this comment. I do believe in McSnead but I do have concerns on losing 2 of the players and keeping two others that I am not happy with.

Philly claimed him on waivers, he's on their 53 man roster. He needed to clear waivers before the Rams (or any other team) could put him on a PS.
Conversely, if Philly wants to put him on their PS, they have to waive him, wait for waiver to clear and then he can go on PS (or any other team)
I see. So if you claim someone off waivers, he automatically goes to your 53. You can't claim him for your PS.

How does the injury designation work then? Can they now put him on IR - effectively claiming him and still not having him count against their 53?

The Rams F'd around and found out with Lampkin. Yeah, the Eagles are twat waffles for breaking the code, but.... Duh.... They are trying to BEAT the Rams, who were their only speedbump in the playoffs last year.

We can chant the old Trust in McSnead mantra all we want, but they are same ones who kept Bobby Evans around. They are not infallible, especially when it comes to OL decisions.

There is no code. You cut a player, he's free to sign with ANYONE. See: Isaac Bruce, Cooper Kupp. Don't want to see him on your rival? Then DONT CUT HIM. No tears in Football, at least not from me.

Willie Lampkin is good enough to be on the Eagles 53 man squad but not the Rams?

The Eagles know OL.

I could see him being their center for a long time or at least a very capable backup interior lineman.

You can just hear Jeff Stoutland banging the table saying, "I've rarely seen an OL move like that, we have to go get him."

Stoutland might be the best OL coach in the business.
He knows OL talent when he sees it.

Good for Lampkin, he now gets a great OL education at "Stoutland University".

Right, they claim a player on waivers, they inherit their contract and are on the roster.
So prior to finalizing the roster, if a player goes on IR, they are out for the year. What I believe the Rams did was do Waive/Injury so after he cleared waivers they could re-sign him to their IR and would be on the roster but off 53, but available to be activated during the season.
Teams do this all the time but the Eagles broke the man code

Bruce and Kupp were totally different situations. Lampkin was CLAIMED as an injured/waived player not signed as a FA. We agree on the DON'T CUT HIM part though...

I'm not going to use the s word on Reeder cuz one of my comments was already modified (which I understand) but yeah Reeder is in no way a reason why our special teams would be a good special lol
I’ll do it.
(DELETED BY MODERATOR FOR OBVIOUS REASON)
Also I agree. I’m still waiting for someone to post one single clip of Reeder making a player literally anywhere on the field.
