Not a fan of Reeder hanging around like month old lunch meat, but that said Paul was a 5th round pick. There was a time where cutting a mid to late rounder who didn't impress was no big deal. Now granted the Rams have drafted well in that round range. But they also found a gem in Dolac among the UDFA haul, who outplayed him significantly.

So to me this is a nothing burger. I don't give a flying fuck what Paul did in college, and I liked his film though he was not the ILB that I badly wanted in the draft. Bottom line is it's about what he can do with the Rams. And if that's not as good as what they have, then peace out and have a great life somewhere else.

I keep telling myself that I'm not logging back in until after 4pm est and yet here I am....

Suffice it to post that nobody is a fan or Reeder. Elias Neal played extremely well against the Browns and is a stalwart on special teams. It very well could be that he is the one that beat out Paul, but we shall see.

I wouldn't keep 5 ILBs. I'd keep it to 4, those being Speights, Dolac, Landman, and Reeder. Reeder is the guy I'd cut if I felt the need to keep Paul (or Neal for that matter), but I think there is a lot of value in players seeing the drafted kid get cut and the UDFA be kept due to performance on the field. This is how you back up what you teach with accountability.

God dammit - I don't see Reeder's name listed

And Tanner Ingle did not make it - didn't care for his coverage ability but damn he was a big hitter who might have been a good backup in the box safety.

Troy reeder’s talent aside, Pooh Paul must have been doing something wrong to get cut. Crazy
