Thats crazy talk. He caught 8 of his 10 targets, 2 for TD
And dropped an easy one that would have been a huge gain, not a 53 yard fg miss, oh, and the costly fumble. He also could have been given a taunting call on both his TDs. Every time he fucking scores he acts like he's never been there before, childish shit we hate from other teams. I'm willing to sit him for a week to prove a fucking point, don't fumble the goddamn ball. If he loses another costly fumble this season, game deciding type, then show him the fucking door and roll with 2 higher draft choices. Stupid extension in my book, he had no leverage to sit out and the Rams simply paid him too early.

Unfortunately Corum had not developed into a replacement for Kyren partially because he still isn’t adept in pass protection which is essential when you have an immobile QB or as a pass receiver. Corum came from a run heavy college scheme that doesn’t always translate into the NFL. Last night’s fumble was a forced error because the defender used a peanut punch to jar the ball loose. Williams issue was he was running in traffic without having both hands on the ball. That’s a mental error that should be corrected by coaching. Despite the fumble the Rams offense is better and more dangerous with Williams running the ball than with the limited game Corum brings
That "mental" error of holding onto the ball with 2 hands near the goal line should have been corrected last year, BEFORE we gave him a fucking new contract.

I would definitely trade KW to the Titans for Sneed. KW fumbles too much. And we need a CB
Keep Snead away from this team, owed over $20m the next 2 years and is NOT the same player he was in KC, he's washed as they go. If he was on the Rams this year we'd already be screaming for him to be benched.

I Realize your pissed but I like the signing.

What he brings to our offense is not easily replaceable.

The Rams didn’t extend KW because he fumbles at critical moments or because he can’t run away from defenders or because he can’t elude a DB in the open field.

They extended him because he’s been productive and a model teammate that fits exactly into the mold of the culture embedded here.

The Rams rewarded KW, thus reinforcing the culture and setting an example for other young players.

I agree that extending RB’s that aren’t elite is not a great idea, and wouldn’t have done it here, but I get why they did.

It’s not a back breaking contract so I just hope that if the opportunity presents itself to add a truly special RB…the Rams will pull the trigger on that.

Williams at the goal line had two hands on the ball, but took the one hand off the ball to balance himself and then the punchout occurred. Should always keep two hands on the ball under that circumstance. His fumbles have been killers.

Blake Corum did not fumble at Michigan, however, his fumble was because he took his eye off the ball. Corum has been very disappointing of late catching the football, he was able to do that at Michigan, but lately, not only has he dropped multiple catchable passes, but he has popped them up in the air and the Rams have been fortunate they have not been picked.

Jarquez Hunter has had issues with ball security in college, fumbling seven times on under 550 carries. So where do the Rams turn?

im not so sure the corum fumble was all his fault...

mathew tossed it to him with a lot of end over end english...

a smoother flip with less english, has to be easier to catch...

his struggles with blocking and the pass game are unsettling because i think he is a way better RB when he takes the handoff...

my 2 cents...

go rams

he was supposed to be able to catch the ball and take advantage, I see he has bricks for hands. not a good look so far into the season.

Kyren is a RB that has had a known fumbling issue in some critical situations in the past. Naturally, NFL defenses are going to target the ball. He needs to be cognizant of this in those type of situations. However, there can be a Catch-22 to this. Marshall Faulk was not a big fumbler. However, when he did fumble occasionally, he was concerned about never allowing fumbling to become a head issue because he felt it affected his play. He would pay attention to how he cradled the ball until he was satisfied, but he did not like dwelling on fumbles too much ... certainly not to the point where it affected his play.
I miss marshal Faulk, he was amazing to watch after the catch.

The reason I was very worried about his fumbles is because most of them have occurred when he is struggling to balance. When that happens he takes the ball off his rib and cannot contain it through contact. The reason that is concerning is because the way he can stay up through contact is a key part of his value as a runner. It is probably his greatest strength.

What he has to do is start putting two hands on it in those moments. That will be very hard to teach him as it is going against instinct, but ball security can be learned so I am hopeful.

Steven Jacksons first carry was .................................................. a fumble.
However - I bet he learned after that.
He carried the rock 2,764 times with 23 fumbles.
ONE per every 120 carries....

Puka celebrates after each catch and got penalized for it and also had a dropped pass. Are we not extending him either?
2 TD's for Kyren on Thursday, without those scores 49ers blew them out

Well, there's also the possibility they find another way to score those touchdowns. Not something we can ever know for sure. I was always fine with him being the RB1 this year. I just question the extension. I think they should have waited till this season was over.
He signed a very friendly deal, was great for both sides
Rule of thumb in all sports is to try and re-sign your guys before they hit free agency
Kyren is on pace for another 15+ TD season, you dont let guys like that walk away. People talk about him being extended like they broke the bank. He's being paid like a backup TE

Yeah I'm where you're at. I get it but don't agree with the extension. I too hope this doesn't stop them from acquiring a RB if they see one they deem special. We had a good opportunity to reset there with this past draft. Oh well, lets hope things improve from here.

SJ also scored a 1 TD per 41 touches
Kyren is at 1 TD per 21 touches
So there's also that
Man SJ in this offense would murder Kyren's production. Can you imagine SJ playing for an actual winning team. He's the one Ram I truly feel we wasted him talent with shit teams we fielded in his day.

Puka is way better than Kyren at his position. Comparing the 2 is laughable. Puka is the top WR in the NFL.....Kyren is anywhere from 10-15 range depending on who you're talking too.
