Corum looks like a solid, solid RB. No reason to pay Kyren, as much as I like him. Draft an RB late round next year for depth and to take shot... and if that doesn't work.. draft one higher in 26.

This isn't a slight on Kyren.. I just think Corum is more than adequate as a replacement.

Wont have to break the bank to keep him. And they absolutely should.
That said, they should be drafting an RB every year, cause you never know

I think he's the type of player you replace instead of paying. Has gotten nicked up a lot during his time here. Fumbles issues this year. And doesn't have that game-breaking extra gear. Good HB, but he's not an elite player at his position. Draft a replacement to pair with Corum (who will hopefully pan out).

Does panning out mean a Kyren equivalent minus the fumbles or all around better than KW?

I think you undervalue him a touch. I think he is top 10. His fumbles lately are bringing his stock down but he’s a very solid back. You can use the fumbles to get his price down and play Corum more to even the load.

This is where I am at.

Noticed it a lot today after another poster commented on it last week. He almost always goes to the ground with only hand hand on the football, tucking it away. What the heck is that. There are many times in a game you need to fully cover it up. Hug it like your life depended on it. I don't think I saw it once (!) and it is such a simple thing to do, what is he thinking...

I'd flip Kyren for a 4th or 5th and grab a kid like Kaleb Johnson in R2 if you can trade back in R1 and grab a few picks.

Badly lack size, physicality and speed at RB.

I wouldn't sign Kyren because we already have his clone in Corum.

The Rams need more playmakers so what I would do at RB is sign JK Dobbins (top 5 breakaway RB this year) and draft another explosive RB in the mid-rounds. Then roll into next season with Dobbins/Kyren/Corum/Draftee.

You're insulated against injury in 2025. If things are going great with all being healthy, you can sell KW at midseason if you want.

I don't think we can afford to move Kyren until we really see what we have in Corum. He looks very good but needs more snaps. See how he responds. Very small sample sizes right now. All the more reason we need more of a time share. I like KW better at the goal line. Otherwise I think they're more or less similar caliber from what little I've seen of Corum.

I agree with you, my assessment of value is based on whether or not Corum looks to be the heir apparent and will we value KW at a higher cost.

I agree with you, my assessment of value is based on whether or not Corum looks to be the heir apparent and will we value KW at a higher cost.
I love the way KW is playing as has played for his tenure here. Fumbles happen, I am not counting them against him as much as some.

The Rams drafted a clone for a reason though, injuries and freshness in a game. Once they trust Corum enough, they’ll split carries more evenly, depending who the hot guy is that day. We do need a third string speed back we can mix in.

For me I think we already replaced KW with Corum. If we keep him so be it but that's just what I think.

Yeah, but leads the league in fumbles over the last 2 years. How much does that offset the TD production?

Because "good" players are most often not resigned when their rookie contract runs out.

It's great and elite players that are typically reupped.
